I’m grateful to have been born in this great country, there is nothing anyone can say to make me change my mind about that. I’ve always noted that you can lose everything and pull up your bootstraps and begin again in the United States of America. It is a nation of invention, a nation of growth and a nation that rewards if you work hard. Weren’t We Always A Nation Of Extremists?
When we said, “We hold these truths to be self-evident, that all men are created equal,” the reality is that this principle had been self-evident to practically no one throughout thousands of years of history. When we said that all men are “endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights,” it got people’s attention, and suddenly others began to agree. When we said humans are entitled to “Life, Liberty and the pursuit of Happiness,” it became a violation to impede such things. But make no mistake. These notions were not mainstream when our founders threw down the gauntlet with the Declaration of Independence.
To think that any of the above was related to race (a communist construct) is to be ignorant of what it means for “all men to be created equal”. You think because they were white men that were freeing the souls of many to be guided by God that surely its racist, you’d be wrong. They were throwing off the chains that bind of government to the human condition. We of course have allowed those chains to entrap us once again.
And despite the hate being spewed against America and its founding principle that all humans are created free with the right to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, that truth still shines. As John Kennedy said of himself, ourselves, and these founding fathers. “We stand for freedom.”
This day of FREEDOM was brought to you by a group of extremists who no longer wanted to bow to the government. If you cannot recognize it, you are the problem.
We, as Americans, have been given a legacy of Freedom that has done more to liberate the world’s population and lift that population out of oppressive, generational poverty than any other nation in human history. But Freedom is no longer on the march. Instead, it is under attack, both here, within our borders, and by our enemies abroad.
There was once a time when 56 men — wealthy, white men — pledged their lives, their fortunes, and their sacred honor to sign a document that would plant the seeds to establish a government founded in Freedom. They intended to – and did — guarantee the freedom and equal opportunity of every citizen to become as successful, as wealthy, and as powerful as these men were, should citizens choose to do so in their “pursuit of happiness.”
God Bless America
Am I the only one, still sittin’ here
Holdin’ my… holdin’ back my tears
For the ones who paid with the lives they gave
God bless the U.S.A
I’m not the only one, willin’ to fight
For my love of the red and white
And the blue, burnin’ on the ground
As a statue’s comin’ down in a town near you
Watchin’ the threads of Old Glory come undone
I’m not the only one
I can’t be the only one
