“What Difference, At This Point, Does It Make?”

Nothing much matters to Hillary Rodham Clinton.  It doesn’t matter whether our Ambassador to Libya and the security detachment were killed by Libyan terrorists with ties to Al Quiada or whether some common thugs bopping down the street just happened to feel like offing them with their mortars.

It didn’t matter to her that her husband abused a string of women in his sphere of influence from the time he was an Arkansas dandy until the time he was caught, literally, with his pants down as said Al Quiada was beginning its campaign of murder and mayhem against the United States and its citizens.

It didn’t matter to her how her $10,000 investment magically mushroomed into a $100,000 windfall back in her pseudo-lawyering days, either.  And apparently these and other things didn’t matter to the gushing mediates who elevated her to rock-star status as First Lady of this and that, and Senator of This and Secretary of That.  Because, you know, she is the…smartest woman in the world.  And before you snidely propose that she accomplished absolutely nothing of merit in her forty years in public life, may we remind you that she courageously used the good offices of the US State Department to secure a concert gig for the performer Lady GaGa in Rome, Italy.

Whenever we hear about how smart she is, we wonder why it is that she must, when questioned on an issue of the day, resort to fuming about ‘right-wing conspiracies’, or bang her fist on the witness table and scream at her questioners, or resort to the intellectually absent proposition that it must be done “for the children.”

This is what the Smartest Woman in the World had to say today about the imperative of sanctioning same-sex marriage:

“To deny the opportunity [for marriage] to any of our daughters and sons solely on the basis of who they are and who they love is to deny them the chance to live up to their own god-given potential.

Do you have any idea what the Smartest Woman In The World was talking about with that “…deny them a chance to live up to their god-given potential” babble? In the name of all that is…both Holy AND scientific, if you insist…what potential was it that God gave to a man and a woman in a matrimonial, or for that matter, even extra-matrimonial, relationship? And just how is it that two men, or two women, are going to “live up to” that ?

See, at this point, it needs to start making a difference. Not to Hillary, or Hillary’s fan club, or to the unquestioning media that laps up everything she and Al Gore and any other left-wing nutjob you care to name spew from the addled stream of consciousness that passes for their brains. It needs to start making a difference to serious, everyday folk when people like Hillary start invoking “God-given” things.  Her and her kind have taken so much from us.  Enough is enough.

A homosexual person, in American society, can “live up to” his/her potential in any area of human or societal endeavor. Be it the arts, the sciences, politics, business, vocation, profession, military service. Heck, they can even “love” whoever they want to “love.” There is nothing about a marriage license that would enable them to live up to their potential, or about the absence of such a license that would infringe on that potential.

And likewise, there is nothing about a marriage license that would enable them to live up to the God-given potential of a man and a woman, and only a man and a woman, to achieve – reproduction.
Hillary Rodham Clinton’s statement was not an off-the-cuff remark to a reporter or on a panel discussion. It was a prepared statement for the Human Rights Campaign. Therefore, there are two possibilities: One, we have arrived at a point in the demagoguery about same-sex marriage where the previous “constitutional rights” circus show put on by the activists and their allies in politics has stalled or has generated as much traction as it is able to. Thus “God” and God’s gifts are corruptly and disingenuously being interjected into the discourse in blatant defiance of both faith and reason.

Or Two, Hillary Clinton is just a babbling idiot and she has no idea what the words she said actually mean; they just sounded good. Either way, it makes no difference to Hillary. Nothing makes any difference to Hillary. What she says, what she does, there is never any adverse consequence for her so at this point, NOTHING MAKES ANY DIFFERENCE.

But it should make a difference to us. At this point, at long last, after all the sanctimonious preaching by the homosexual activist organizations and the pandering politicians about victimization and hatred and discrimination, after all the lies, we are down to crunch time. At this point, it must start making a difference.  And we must start upholding God’s purposes which are true and undeniable and important and not allow them to be co-opted or misappropriated or lied about or lumped in with the mundane activities humans busy themselves with.

God did not create androids. God created Man and God created Woman and God created them as such for a reason. Even among the creatures did God create the male and the female.

At some point, the truth makes a difference.  In the geo-political world, the schemings and doings of bloodthirsty terrorists make a difference to Americans serving abroad in both civilian and military capacities.  In the conduct of ordinary human affairs, the truth about what it is that their Creator endowed the human race with, and why, makes a great deal of difference.  If it does not, then not much else makes a difference either, including how “smart” Hillary Rodham Clinton is.

“A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is putting on its shoes.”
Mark Twain

This weird concept of ‘fairness’ will be the end of the Republic. It’s the flip side of Jug-Ear’s rationale, because it’s the ‘right thing to do’. The last refuge of those lacking a rock-solid foundation of objective Truth, we must strive for what’s ‘fair’ or ‘right’, but only in their estimation (and that of the opinion polls, or campaign contributors). Talk about yer bitter clingers…’I will hold fast to whatever Pew Research says this week…’
