Oh, a VIPR response . . . this time in Chicago:
It was stunning for those who watched Thursday night as federal agents investigated a possible nuclear threat at Chicago’s Ogilvie Transportation Center.
Sources say the agents were members of the elite TSA VIPR team on the 5:04pm Union Pacific West line. They were carrying hand-held nuclear-detection devices that picked up a reading (nuclear). —CBS Chicago
Is it safe? (Marathon Man). That is the only thing that matters, right? Please don’t ask this question of any school-kid on the south side of Chicago, but I digress.
Wouldn’t it just be easier to issue “papers” to everybody, restrict movement outside of the county of residence and step up to random no-knock home visits? Then every little Susy helicopter-mom could really feel safe in the police state.
While many do not remember, President Bush tried to resist the formation of Homeland Security, but he caved under the Donk outcry and the fears’ntears of a big majority of the former land of the free and home of the brave.
So take the pain America, while Big Sis drills away on all of us. Hey, you . . . Papers, please!
