Ryan/Biden Pregame Primer

.
This won’t take long to sum up. One guy has created at least 2 budget programs that cut the runaway deficit to 0 in 10 years. The other elevated Barbara Boxer to “Biggest Idiot in the Senate” when he got promoted to Vice President.
.
When there is a difference in IQ of 40 points, it’s not a debate.
.
It’s Jurassic Park.

E Pluribus Unum
The weapons had evolved, but our orders remained the same: Hunt them down and kill them off, one by one. A most successful campaign. Perhaps too successful. For those like me, a Death Dealer, this signaled the end of an era. Like the weapons of the previous century, we, too, would become obsolete. Pity, because I lived for it.

  1. Post-debate: Frank Luntz’s panel of idiots notwithstanding, CNN’s early result has Ryan 48-44. Methinks the fallout over the next day or two will show a decisive turn toward Ryan having taken Biden to school.

Not counting Biden’s patently unseemly behavior (which will certainly cost him in the days to come), the fact-checking will leave him totally naked.

In the end, the question: did this debate move the needle in either direction? Not all that much, but it will have moved it Romney’s direction.

And in terms of getting the truth and the message out, T-Ryan ate smiling boy like a cheesy lawyer.

  2. How’d Biden’s “performance” last night play with the casual voter? My 22 year old daughter and one of her friends, both Republicans but engaged at about the level you would expect from 22 yr. old college students, both got up and left about 45 minutes into the debate (they both stayed for the entire Romney/Obama debate).
Comment from my daughter when I inquired as to why she was leaving? “I’m sick and tired of listening to Biden. He sounds like a cranky, bitchy old man and I’m sick of listening to his voice.”
