Not My President, part 7 of 50: Libyan Ambassador Murdered, Neville Chamberlain heads to Vegas

Really, barack?

Does America really, truly have a White House occupier who can’t even get himself worked up over a day that involved 2 American embassies breached, flags taken down, desecrated and replaced with a black Islamic flag, and culminating in the murder of our Ambassador to Libya by a mob? He’s delivered a couple of tepid statements decrying “senseless violence” and now is proceeding to Las Vegas for previously scheduled campaign events. What kind of unserious, golf-playing parlor dilettante does that?

Let’s put it this way. Not my president.

There’s so much wrong in the Libyan situation that one hardly knows where to start. What I mean is, there’s so much wrong in the Libyan situation ENTIRELY AVOIDABLE AND FOR WHICH THE BLAME SHOULD BE LAID AT THE FEET OF OBAMA that one hardly knows where to start.

First, this administration from the beginning embarked on a foolhardy and reckless policy toward the militant Islamists in the Middle East. Long-term posture of appeasement toward not only the Middle East (except for Israel) but militant Islamist forces has not resulted in the hoped-for better and renewed warm-fuzzy relations with that “religion of peace.” I believe the word “unexpectedly” applies here the same as every time we have bad economic news. Instead, as every conservative in America could have easily predicted, this policy has resulted in forces of evil in an ever-growing boldness and power. We are not loved more abroad; we are in fact hated more. Now we can add to that the fact that we are not even respected or feared.

Second, the Obama administration was fully behind the “Arab Spring,” a movement with a thin veneer of democracy that any person not an idiot could see was backed by Muslim extremists such as Al Qaeda and the Muslim Brotherhood.

Third, Obama personally conducted an illegal war to support the overthrow of the Gaddafi regime in Libya. The military activities were clearly in violation of the Constitution, clearly in violation of the War Powers Act, and it’s not like he was not called on it. Republicans in Congress raised up the hue and cry loudly, while the Complicit Media pretty much blacked it out. This regime of extremists now in charge of Libya are people that Obama empowered to get there. Their views were widely known beforehand, and this week’s events can hardly be a surprise.

So now, the stage was set for this week. Yesterday’s murder of Ambassador Chris Stevens and three other Americans is a despicable and outrageous act that requires retribution. Circumstances surrounding the events strongly suggest that Libyan officials were complicit.

What would a real president do? OK, not counting the fact that a real president would not have taken steps 1, 2, and 3 that got us here. Pretend a real president was installed today. What would he do in response to this act of war?

There would be a response that rhymes with “air strikes.” And he wouldn’t be headed off to Vegas for campaign events. None of this “peace in our time” business.

E Pluribus Unum
The weapons had evolved, but our orders remained the same: Hunt them down and kill them off, one by one. A most successful campaign. Perhaps too successful. For those like me, a Death Dealer, this signaled the end of an era. Like the weapons of the previous century, we, too, would become obsolete. Pity, because I lived for it.

  1. Couldn’t agree more, especially on the rhyming part. Hillary beclowned herself with her remarks about our ambassador being carried to a hospital; the photo I saw looked more like Blackhawk Down than a mercy mission. Could we at least have a couple of drone strikes? Maybe a cruise missile or two? Crickets, gotta get to Vegas…

    • Exactly, mriggio. Same pictures (Somalians desecrating our soldiers bodies), came to mind when I saw the terrible mistreatment by the mob of Ambassador Smith’s body. Pictures his family will live with forever – made worse knowing how he was deliberately betrayed and murdered.

The malignant, communist media will likely cover once again for Obama, but true Americans know it is the anti-American, Islamist sympathizer in the WH who is to blame for the murder of this man and the other three Americans. Obama boasted so proudly about getting Osama bin Laden, never caring about the risk he brought to Seal Team 6 with the WH leaks, and then, they too, died… This president has American blood on his hands, we need to elect someone to the presidency who loves America and believes in her. It is not the current resident of the White House.

  2. I went to Al Jazeera to see how they were reporting the Libya murders.
They use Disqsucks too. You can look at my profile there and links to
RS and UP appear with access to all my comments. I did not leave a
comment or log in at Al Jazeera. That is freaking crazy. How can we
shut this down or opt out of our information being used on any
Disqsucks platform????? If that is not possible, get rid of it
now!!!! You mean there aren’t other commenting applications with opt
    out features????

      • Question for your tech guys, and a “heads up” for you and others: I have entered several comments critical of the disqus system, and they mysteriously don’t get posted and don’t appear on the site. Who is doing the censoring and why? How can you expect to get feedback on thsi sort of thing when it is getting “black-holed?”

        • Can’t tell you why anything is missing here. Have not seen that happen. A comment won’t post if the disqus info is not filled in on initial posting. Every time I log in, it already shows me as Lady Penguin. The site tech and disqus are separate.

Also, the only way I’ve seen a comment “disappear” is if the author of it did a deletion. The site does not delete comments from disqus, we just have to wait until they scroll off…as we found out today with an article and the comments.

For now, UP is not having problems with Disqus. I am sorry if RS is, but I have used Disqus at Right Scoop and Weasel Zippers without a problem; we’re taking a wait and see.

  3. A few years ago, I feared this government because of what this government is doing and what it meant to us as Americans.

Today, I hold contempt for it. It can regulate and bully and regulate some more but in the end, conservatives will survive because we can and their laws and rules and whining will be but dust in the wind.

  4. If you push all the clutter and lies about WMD’s and Mission Accomplished and Nation-Building aside and concentrate on what was happening on the ground, the policies and strategies put forth by the Bush people.were paying off at the end. Genuine good will and cooperation could be seen in circles of the Iraqi government. Even in Afghanistan, some women appeared to have some hope. Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton have laid waste to the Middle East. It is on fire and the people there have no hope. Even in Africa, the Bush administration was giving the people hope. Now the Dark Continent is in turmoil and there is no hope there either.
Europe is in chaos in every measureable category. There is no hope in Europe.
The Asian nations around China were beginning to feel less threatened by the Chicoms. Now, China is bent on hegemony everywhere. The people of Asia have no hope. Socialist dictators are making a comeback in South America. The people of South America who were on the cusp of prosperity now have no hope.
Not only is barack not our president, he is not the leader of the free world.
