Working in the Coal Mine

Obama’s Going South

People are pretty flexible. Up to a point. Coal Miners in Ohio and maybe elsewhere have reached that point.
A while back for many. Take away a person’s ability to house, feed and provide for their family, then go after their self-respect and make them feel less than gob piles, some will take true exception to being vilified.
For providing for their families. For providing needed energy. For providing for the future.
Which will be very dark indeed if Obama gets a second term by hook or crook.

Romney has an opportunity with American Coal Miners. Please be wise in your approach.

  1. The 54-year-old miner added, after listening to Romney: “This election is his and Paul Ryan’s for the taking. They need to be bold and remind people of what we stand for, that we are the backbone of this country.”

  2. Yea, they waited in line to shake his hand. UMW NOT endorsing Obama as they did in 2008 but not endorsing Romney either. I was very pleased to see at Occupy the Truth in Cleveland a table in support of coal. And also a lot of people wearing Tshirts in support of coal. Romney has to win Ohio to win the election. So far he seems to understand the importance coal play in this state.

  3. The day after the swearing in, and a whole slew of greenie wonks are strip mined of employment, permits need to be reinstated for coal, shale, natural gas and new permits for state of the art refineries issued. Plus Keystone brought online.
