New ads in Ohio targets Brown’s stance on Medicare

The 60+ Association has a new hard-hitting ad challenging Sherrod Brown for his support of the Independent Payment Advisory Board and his irresponsible cuts to Medicare. (Keep in mind — these cuts go towards a new health care entitlement, rather than putting us on a sustainable fiscal path.) In so doing, Brown is putting big government ahead of seniors.

“Obama’s health care legislation has ended Medicare as we know it,” said music legend Pat Boone, National Spokesman for the 60 Plus Association. ”The Brown-supported health care bill puts a bureaucrat between Medicare patients and our doctors and gives unelected, unaccountable bureaucrats the power to deny seniors the care we deserve.”
Acting like a Medicare IRS, the Independent Payment Advisory Board (IPAB) is a 15-member bureaucratic council that will dictate what constitutes “necessary care” for Medicare recipients as a means to cut costs beyond the half-trillion dollars that was already eliminated through Obama’s government takeover of healthcare. The Board’s so-called recommendations can be fully enacted without Congressional action, allowing them to autonomously ration care for seniors.
All Ohioans, please call Senator Sherrod Brown at 216-522-7272 and tell him “Bureaucrats should never have the power to deny you healthcare.”

Besides the helpfulness of Sherrod Brown, the important thing is that his fellow Ohioan, John Boehner, keep the funding streams going in a ‘bipartisan’ effort to avoid the horrors of a ‘government shutdown’. That way, Kathleen and her minions can continue to implement all the rules and policies and get the boards established as solidly as possible before the next Congress can even think about repealing all this crap. Just nothing we can do about it. Obama won, don’t ya know.

People have no idea how serious an issue this is, the ‘Death Panels’ are not fantasy, they’re reality.
