Like all of you, I’ve been watching, reading and listening to the ‘you didn’t do that, you didn’t make that happen’ remarks back-and-forth for over a week now.
I know some folks who could be described as successful small to medium sized business people. In talking, they never discuss how hard they work or how smart they are. If you can get them to talk about it, to attribute their success to anything, it’s usually to risk-taking and to sacrifice. Like ‘betting the farm’ (literally) on their idea, or how few dollars-and-minutes resources they have left for family events, little-league games or dance recitals or vacations. The best of them attribute their success to the brilliance and work ethic…of their employees!
The conclusion is obvious: Juggy doesn’t know, hasn’t talked with small business owners. So for him, it’s reflexive to spout dorm-room Socialism 101 platitudes regarding business, because he simply doesn’t know any better. Plus as a bonus, it lets him stir the populist, us-vs-them stewpot, riling up his base, like a good little community organizer has been trained to do.
So, Mr Preezy, I get your context. You’re not only wrong, you’re ignorant to boot.
