The New Testament of the Christian Bible has a scriptural story recorded in Matthew 2:16-18; it is the record of King Herod’s order for the “slaughter of the innocent” – the killing of male babies under the age of 2. King Herod issued this edict because he had heard of a newborn baby being born who would one day be king, and fearing a future challenge to his throne, he ordered this slaughter. Theologians debate the truth and context of this event, but it is accepted that this was why Joseph fled to Egypt with Mary and their newborn son, Jesus. King Herod did not understand that Jesus’ Kingdom was not of this world. The Old Testament (Bible of the Jews and part of the Christian Bible) has the scriptural story of the Pharaoh who felt threatened by the increasing population of the Hebrews and ordered the killing of the firstborn male children. From this comes the story of Moses, who survived, and was ultimately the man who would lead the Hebrews out of Egypt to the promised land of Canaan.
Mass killing has been part of mankind’s history. Man is capable of great atrocities and mass genocide. Modern history gives us the deeds of Hitler, Stalin and Pol Pot. The Holocaust alone saw the extermination of not only 6 million Jews, but it is estimated another 5 million “undesirables” were murdered by Hitler.
The definition of genocide is the “singling out of a group for extermination.” Today, abortion is our modern day genocide. Yes, it is. Mankind is engaged in the deliberate and purposeful act of destroying life, and killing our future generations.
America is a willing participant in this genocide, in fact, Barack Obama’s presidency has brought this nation to a new low in the protection of the unborn. President Obama has done everything possible to promote and enable the funding of abortions. His first official act as president was the signing of an Executive Order freeing US taxpayer dollars for overseas abortions; this was a reversal of the Mexico City policy which was in place prohibiting federal monies supporting international abortions.
President Obama penalizes states (by withholding other federal funds) who withdraw Planned Parenthood funding, Texas being just one example. He makes sure extra money goes to PP in states where they’ve tried to end state taxpayer monies going to pay for abortions. Never before have we witnessed such an openly pro-abortion president, one who smilingly signs away taxpayer dollars to Planned Parenthood enabling them to do their dirty work. Dirty work and deeds that they constantly try to pretend are not happening. Progressives are now giving instructions to liberals telling them to avoid using the words, “abortion, baby or unborn child.” The evil truth about abortion must be hidden or society would react in horror to the truth.
Despite the flippant answer then-candidate Obama gave Pastor Rick Warren about abortion being above his “paygrade,” he is on record as state senator from Illinois as supporting partial-birth abortion and infanticide. Partial-birth abortion is inducing labor and then killing the baby before it is fully born. Infanticide is the horrific act of killing a baby born alive who survives a botched abortion. In this, President Obama seems to share commonality with the Australian “ethicists” Giubilini and Minerva who introduced the idea of after-birth abortions. Their words: ”we need to assess facts in order to decide whether the same arguments that apply to killing a human fetus can also be consistently applied to a newborn human.” Not hard to see the slippery slope here. Individuals who believe in killing a born alive infant from a botched abortion would have no qualms killing a born alive baby, period. In 1973, the Supreme Court decision Roe v Wade was touted as making abortion, “safe, legal and rare”; since that ruling we’ve had over 50 million aborted American babies, and we have individuals, including President Obama, who support both the partial-birth abortion procedure and infanticide.
President Obama has, on several occasions, ridiculed Americans who seek to save the lives of the unborn, saying we were, “stuck on abortion.” He has been dismissive and dishonest with people of faith who have protested the Affordable Care Act (Obamacare) requirements forcing providers of health insurance to cover birth control, sterilizations and morning-after abortion inducing pills, all of which go against their basic faith tenets. This country was founded on the premise of religious freedom, yet, everything Mr. Obama has done during his tenure has made a mockery of this fundamental First Amendment right.
Planned Parenthood’s name is a misnomer. Planning means preparing in advance, and making choices about having a family. It is not supposed to mean the local factory where you stop by and get an abortion because a baby might be a “mistake” as President Obama thinks, or inconvenient. The idea that abortion should be so commonplace a solution to such situations is unbelievable, but this president believes in a culture of death, not of life. Essentially, it is the mindset of those of the Left who believe in killing those who are unacceptable in their eyes. Yet, the Left constantly tries to keep hidden the truth about the murders of the unborn, doing everything they can to keep the pictures and the stories out of the public’s view; only evil deeds have to be kept hidden and in darkness.
I’ve watched this president give pretty speeches inciting class warfare to his select African-American audiences, but he never tells them about the racial genocide he is enabling in their own communities. He doesn’t tell them (nor do the race-baiters like Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson), of the 15,000,000 black babies who’ve been aborted since Roe v Wade, or that black infants are aborted currently at the rate of 1,000 a day. Essentially, this president, in collaboration with the Left, is carrying out Margaret Sanger’s mission of eugenics. The president also doesn’t tell his audiences how Planned Parenthood clinics are deliberately placed in minority and poor neighborhoods, ostensibly to give them easier access, but why would one promote the killing of the next generation, especially along racial lines? Non-Hispanic Black abortions represent 30-40% of total abortions performed, yet, they are only 12% of the general population.
It must be a heady experience to know one holds such power over life and death, President Obama; kind of like being King Herod, or a pharaoh of ancient Egypt. Yet, as an American, it is inconceivable to me that this great nation would actually have a president who wholeheartedly supports and promotes the death of her unborn citizens. That’s a vision I can’t fathom. So, while abortions may be legal, the immorality of such deeds rests upon the shoulders of our leaders. It seems to me that there is a darkness in a soul who can so easily sign the “death warrants” of the unborn. Historians will someday write of this period in America’s history, and there will be a shame associated with the murder of our babies. A portion of Barack Obama’s legacy will include his support of the genocide of the unborn.
