Obama officialy kicked off his re-election campaign at Virginia Commonwealth College last Friday. Before yet another mob of liberal youngsters, the man who said in 2009 that he would be a one-termer if couldn’t turn the economy around in three years, struck a different note entirely.

You know Obama doesn’t have much of an economic record to run on. The buck never stops with Obama. It’s always Bush or those mysterious economic headwinds (here, 2011) that are causing the country to struggle to create jobs.

President Barack Obama, on stage at VCU, said turning the presidency over to Republican Mitt Romney now would turn back the clock.

Obama said Romney would “rubber stamp” the priorities of House Republicans.

“We’ve come too far to abandon the change we fought for these last four years,” he said.

Obama said Americans have worked hard to overcome economic difficulties that began before he took office. He noted that in the last six months of 2008, nearly 3 million Americans lost their jobs.

Over 1 million jobs have been created in the last six months, he said.

“Does this make us satisfied? Of course not,” he said.

So now Obama says the economic distress took years to develop and will take years to overcome. Never mind Teh One made all those shiny promises if he could just get the stimulus passed. But he did so much more than that! Just look. Incredible that one man can put forth so much bad economic policy.

Does he really think Americans will overlook his failed policies? He owns the economic destruction and and after three and a half years . . . ding, ding, ding, Obama. . . time’s up.
