The Good, the Bad and the Bulldozer

The left and all their victim groups wishing to fundamentally transform America hates the right. They hate it because they “know” the right is evil and they know the left is good. They’ve owned the media and the culture for so long it is all they have heard all their sorry, unhappy lives.

Leftists will seize on any event with great outrage if they think it profits them. The truth and the facts or lack of facts matter not. Anything that can be twisted to make their enemy (the right) look bad is fair game. A forked tongue president like Barack Obama understands how it works. He is happy to claim the most productive people in America, those who pay 70% of taxes, do not pay their fair share when half of America pays no income tax at all. The truth doesn’t come into play for Obama because he knows he is good.

Obama and the leftists will do whatever it takes to destroy traditional values that delay their agenda. When 72% of black children are born out of wedlock as a result of leftist policies and cultural degradation, their cognitive dissonance and outright sociopathy prevents them from noticing.

You can probably think of a hundred other examples. Destruction of the traditional culture and virtues has consequences:

When you take a bulldozer to traditional values, what takes its place is bulldozer ideology, the expedient virtue of bulldozing things and the virtue of whatever rises in their place. Once you believe in the bulldozer, then you must also believe in whatever mess follows in its wake, otherwise you are forced to take a long hard look at the virtue of the bulldozer. And once that happens, you are one step away from becoming a reactionary clinging to traditional values.

What has grown in the wake of the bulldozer is bulldozer ethics, situational ethics that justify the virtue of bulldozing things as a vital moral principle, disguising their appeal in calls to fairness, justice, decency, tolerance and a thousand other virtues that they never practice across the board.

Bulldozer values call forth explosive faux moral tantrums at anything that stands in front of the bulldozer. These tantrums can be seen on the late night news, on the front page of the New York Times, which long ago stopped relegating its moral tantrums and special pleading to the editorial page, on liberal blogs and a thousand other places. They don’t however represent moral or ethics, only the virtue of the bulldozer– the virtue of power. —Daniel Greenfield

How should the right deal with the lies of the left? A week ago at the Denton Texas Republican Senate District convention I heard several speakers address the delegates saying we had to “engage” the left. We should talk to them in person and engage them through social media. That is a fine hope and a fun hobby but the truth is, it cannot work with the left because . . .

As a consequence, there is no reasoning with leftist-socialists-statists, in the same way America cannot win hearts and minds in Afghanistan. The only way to restore the country’s exceptionalism is to pound the left at ballot box. They must be destroyed as a political force. That means Obama must be defeated in November and the Democrats must be removed in numbers great enough that they are humiliated and without power. Be assured that is exactly what the Democrat leftists are trying to do to traditional, conservative America.

It will take a lot more than a keyboard and engagement to return America to her proper course. The left is committed and ruthless. The right had better boot up. It is time to get down in the trenches with every swinging richard who will work against Obama and his minions. I’m talking about block walking, micro-targeting voters and busting out thousands of phone calls a night. That is what it will take to beat Obama, the Democrats and their bulldozer ideology. It is what we did not have in 2008. Make the same mistake in 2012 and we lose this country for at least another generation.

Texas native. Conservative small businessman with 31 years experience. Government should roll back the nanny state. No country can tax its way to prosperity. The question isn't who will let me but who will stop me?

There was a story this week of an individual, Dan Savage, a radical from the LGBT group, who spoke at a the National High School Journalism conference. He was supposed to speak on anti-bullying, which apparently the radical gays have taken over in order to advance their agenda, but instead he lashed out in vitriol at Christians. A number of the young people got up and left and he mocked them as they were leaving. The sponsors of the event only apologized if anyone was offended…This incident shows exactly how the bulldozer theory is at work in our society, but… Read more »

If you sniff around the MSM these days, TG, you will see little snippets like the one you linked to. Jesse Washington is more of a black liberation theology type than a conservative. So I can’t help but think the MMfA and CAP and OfA are orchestrating these seemingly traditionalist overtures as part of the campaign. If they are not successful in re-electing Obama, they will have positioned themselves to make another transition, Previously it was Liberal to Progressive. Next time it will be from Progressive to Humanist, or some such. Note that in Washington’s supposedly bold recognition of the… Read more »

Amen to your last paragraph. We conservatives have 189 days to unite and organize locally for Get Out The Vote. We ALL have to do as much as possible to get our conservative friends, neighbors, family members and acquaintances to actually “do something” more than just vote. We’ve got to get more of those 35% of Republicans and conservative independents who didn’t vote in the 2008 presidential election to actually vote this time.

That’s what I’ll be focusing on getting accomplished.

Thank you.

Amen, Bob, to all of that. No point in debating them. You can only defeat this generation of the Left if we hope to save the next generation.
