Sarah, We Hardly Knew Ye

I am in mourning.  For I loved the woman so.  But I have to admit she did say “I’m not going to Washington to seek their good opinion.”  She didn’t say “I’m not going to New York to seek their good opinion.”  Still, she has told us over and over that it’s not worth her, or our, time to fight the liberal media establishment, or to play their games.  So in a way, I’m crushed.

When I hear today that she is guest hosting The Today Show on NBC tomorrow, I say to myself  “Why?”  Is she just pursuing another interest, something she wants to do out of a sense of personal fulfillment?  She was a journalism major in college, so maybe it has something to do with that.  But she has been a Fox News contributor for a couple of years now, so she has gotten the broadcast experience, the face time, the exposure.  I don’t think for one minute that the woman, perceptive as she is, does not know she is not going to be taken, or treated, with seriousness and respect by the elite, Americanism-impaired New York crowd.

Maybe somewhere in the recesses of her heart she feels she has saturated the social and alternative medias with her messaging and can somehow do more to overcome the mass indoctrination of generations of mainstream television viewers with some kind of subliminal messaging.  I don’t know.  But then, I don’t know why George Will and Charles Krauthammer continue their association with the Washington Post, after the ‘salon’ scandal and the  ‘JournOlist’  scandal and the outright overt conservative/Christian/America- bashing practiced by those editors, not to mention their complete and utter lack of vetting of the man currently occupying the highest office in the land during the ’08 election cycle.

Likewise, I don’t understand anybody, anywhere, giving CBS News the time of day on any matter, considering the horrific Dan Rather- Texabama National Guard scandal concocted by CBS and Democrat political operatives against President Bush going on  a decade ago now.  ABC?  With Georgie Stephanopolous?  And Christiane Amanpour?  Are you kidding?

Bernie Goldberg may have become persona non grata  on the East Coast cocktail circuit with the publication of his “ Bias “,  but to the journo-quacks operating now, their sins of the past are sooo yesterday, so unfulfilling.  They have graduated to actually lying and altering and covering up truth in news reporting, as witnessed by the current deliberate, intentional, in-your-face smears and dishonest editing of the words and appearance of the alleged racist in the George Zimmerman-Trayvon Martin case being demagogued to the ends of the earth by the media and the agendaites in print and over the airwaves.  Once upon a time, decent practitioners of the journalistic art would have been embarassed to be seen in the company of anyone associated with this trash.

So.  We don’t know what’s in Sarah’s head or heart on this little New York escapade.  Maybe she has a very secret ulterior motive.  Maybe it’s part of some masterstroke conservative plot to infiltrate and conquer the Big Apple and turn the tide of liberal hegemony into an ebb.  Who knows.  All I know is, whatever happens, whatever the ratings, “they” (the East Coast elites) are not going to, never will, aren’t wired to, love her and respect her as I do  did.  But it’s over now, Sarah dear.   ………………………………..Oh, who in the hell do I think I’m kidding …….   break a leg, kid!

  1. I actually think she can do a lot of good getting in that air time on their turf. The MSM still do have followers and fans who are totally ignorant of true conservatives and even Republicans. They’ve been so brain-washed. She is much more able to get a message out in a venue we’ve not been able to crack.

Good for her. And against, pixie Katie, Sarah will win hands down.

  2. Oh, I don’t think for an instant that Sarah gives a rat’s patootie about the people at NBC, but it’s a great platform to get some face time with people who wouldn’t normally watch Fox News. If she nails it, that’s another chink in the armor of the MSM.

  3. To these people it’s all about one thing-ratings. If she says something that can be criticized, so much the better. Was not the oafish Olberman on their sister network? Simply today’s version of ‘if it bleeds, it leads’.

  4. I’m in agreement with itsonlywords. In general, I subscribe to the ‘don’t give the MFM the time of day’ philosophy. But due to Sarah’s gift of making liberal heads explode on a liberal basis…I’m glad she’s going for it!

  5. Agree with all of the above. It was a win-win for NBC, in that Sara was a big ratings boost just by being there, and two, and even bigger ratings boost if she fell on her arse.

But I have always felt more comfortable in my skin preaching in the House of the Devil than to the choir. That’s where you find all the lost souls after all.
