But Mr. Obama, You Said We Weren’t A Christian Nation!

It was very grating and disturbing to watch Barack Obama struggle to read the teleprompter and his prepared notes at the National Prayer Breakfast when he was trying to incredulously craft citations from Jesus Christ on tax policy in the United States of America, which land was discovered by Catholics in 1492  ( that would be AD)  but which  did not discover itself as a nation until 1776 and then suddenly  became, in 2009, according to the boy king,  a distilled stewpot of faiths not recognizable to any traditional American.  That’s right, a full 517 years of Judeo- Christian inspiration, desire, quest,  modeling, temperament, teachings, cultural and foundational basis down the tubes in one fell swoop with the election and coronation of Barack H. Obama, the first emperor in US history, who decreed for all the world to hear that we are NOT   a Christian nation and proceeded to tour the Muslim world and assure those territories of that certainty.

And now the boy king  has the audacity, not of hope but of  the perversion of his supposedly adopted religion, to tell the American people that his taxing and wealth redistribution policies are right and just and good and true and moral because that’s the way Jesus Christ would have wanted it to be.  That is pure, unadulterated fabrication and distortion of the teachings of Jesus, as any apolitical clergyman or uncorrupted theological scholar would tell you. (If you wanted, you could read the Bible yourself).

So now that it suits his political purpose, we are all of a sudden magically once again a nation of Christ-followers? How many different ways will you have it, Mr. Obama?  Can you not find quotations from Mohammed or The Buddha to buttress your pleas for punitive taxation?

We reiterate  our previous descriptor of him – he is a boy king.  He is not even a man king.  He is not up to it.  He is not really even a king, he is a pretentious caricature of a demagogue.  He is not a President.  He is not an American President, and whether or not America is a “Christian” nation, this man is not a Christian  American President.  He is an impostor.

  1. That man-child sitting in the Oval Office speaks with a forked tongue.

Unfortunately (God forgive me please) I look forward to the day when the man-child gets his behind kicked by the Man Upstairs to the gates of hell.

  2. Since his rise in his party in the US Senate and with the 2008 campaign, I have chosen to disbelieve any word the man has spoken. This includes the words “the”, “and” and “a”. All lies. Time has proven the correctness of my choice. November cannot arrive quickly enough.

  3. It’s more than disappointing that we don’t have any statesmen in government, or journalists with any ethics at all anymore. This sort of half-baked, sophomoric pandering to a class of voters that he is obviously not a member of, and is actively hostile to, would not have been given a pass in the not so distant past. Distorting holy scripture for partisan politics (or for any reason at all) would never have been given a pass. He would have been excoriated in the press, in the Congress, and pretty much everywhere, and it would have signaled the death knell of his reelection campaign. But, we don’t live in those times anymore, and there is evidently no one with enough stature to call him out on this, and on his other numerous lies and misdeeds, and be taken seriously.

Obama (and Bill Clinton, while I am at it) has driven governance (and by proxy politics) so far below what passes for basic decency, even today, that I fear it will never be able to recover any respectability in this generation, or the next. That assumes, however, that we will still have a recognizable country at that time.
