Texas Governor Rick Perry closed out his Iowa bus tour Monday evening at the historic Pattee hotel in Perry Iowa, 35 miles northwest of Des Moines. Accompanied by family and prominent political supporters including Governors Jindal of Louisiana and Brownback from Kansas, Perry laid out a strong message for a smaller federal government and economic rebirth.
Governor Perry told the crowd that there was no way that the country could spend its way to prosperity and implored President Obama to stop the crazy spending and money printing.
Perry asked his audience, “Are you better off now than you were 4 trillion dollars ago?” Watch the crowd respond in the video below:
The enthusiastic overflow crowd of 300 people applauded Governor Perry vigorously. A gaggle of press including reporters from Switzerland and Italy circulated among the crowd doing random interviews.
From everything we have seen in the news, and everything you have reported to us, T-Galt, the Governor’s operation is gearing up in fine fashion and is buoyed by true constitutional conservative volunteers such as yourself. Regardless of the final tally tonight, he is……what’s the word?…..Winning.
texasgalt you are a real patriot my friend, packing up, heading to freezing IA to support your candidate, I am praying for you and Rick Perry tonight!
