Herman Cain, Candidates and Politics

Yesterday, Herman Cain suspended his campaign for the GOP presidential nomination. The suspension was a result of several news stories focusing on his personal life and his relationship with women. This isn’t going to be a post-mortem on him or the stories. I’m leaving that for the experts and pundits. This is about the process.

I believe there was a blatant and obviously successful attempt to destroy the candidacy of Herman Cain. I also believe that it was orchestrated by either the Democrats or a group from our side. It played out too tidily – the groundwork laid by the first three women who so mysteriously have disappeared from the front page, to the woman who professes an affair with him for 13 years. Mr. Cain may have strayed, but even one time with her sets him up for extortion for years to come.

What I don’t like is how our side (the Establishment Political Industrial Complex), wanted to see him taken down and gone. Maybe he wasn’t an ideal or perfect candidate, but neither is he a “bad” man. Mr. Cain has credentials that few others have, including that he actually was a “rocket scientist” with his mathematical degree and skills. He appealed to us because he wasn’t a politician; the fact that our own GOP politicians blatantly lie to Americans because they’re looking to retain power by controlling Americans is what will destroy us.

Yesterday, on twitter, I saw numerous tweets by the oh-so-virtuous and otherwise, making virulent comments about Cain, snickering and figuratively dancing on his political grave. Interesting to see how ‘know it all’ some are, many who haven’t yet really lived and learned the hard lessons of life. I also tweeted in agreement with Chuck Devore who posted a classy tweet regarding Mr. Cain – my tweet, “let he or she who is perfect cast the first stone.”

There is a story of how this came about, an organized and planned dirty political game; why is it that only our candidates are destroyed? I hope that “how” it was orchestrated will eventually be revealed. But as long as we let the malignant media continue to be the arm of the Socialist Democrats/Marxists – they will take down America. If we let it happen, it will be our own fault.

  1. Cain could have survived all this had he wised up and surrounded himself with a competent staff.

That said, I hope he uses any money he has left to hire several private investigators and eventually publishes the real story of these accusations. I suspect that at the bottom of each sewer that these rats climbed out of will be David Axelrod (and thus, Barack Obama).

This was really not about the presidential race, per se. The Democrat party cannot afford to lose ANY substantial part of the African-American electorate. Period. That would ensure that they could never win another national election. They will stop at nothing, nothing, to prevent that.

  2. You are right to concentrate on the process, Lady P. At this point, knowing all that we know about the MSM losing circulation/viewership and how their survival more and more depends on government largesse and crony capitalism, we should bang the drum for calling out those purveyors of propaganda who are in collusion with the DNC and the Obama administration, and where possible insist on civil or criminal proceedings. Immediately should there be the Federal Elections Commissions called to task for not overseeing the process, or else cease to exist.
The media at this point is actively courting Republican politicos to disparage Republican candidates, and the Republican politicos are all too willing to oblige. That’s not their job, that’s our job. Their job should be cleaning up the mess that is the District of Columbia.

    • The other side of the MSM losing circulation is their focus on sensationalism to boost their viewership. What could be better than a sex scandal, real or imagined, to help their sagging numbers?

The only thing my liberal spouse knows about Cain is the headline ‘scandals’ and that’s what the MSM and the Obama campaign hopes for.

  3. Personally, I believe it was a conspricacy between the parties as they both stood to gain from his political demise. Or, at the least both parties independently working toward the same end.

I wonder how many remember how the Romney camp torpedoed Fred in Iowa in 08. That discovery hurt him more than his moderate RINO status in the end because he pulled another stunt in SC.

I have more to say but most of it is impolite so I’ll refrain.
