And the Beat Goes On – More Spending and More Debt

Lately, politics seems to be in the doldrums, especially as Thanksgiving Day draws near. Cable news programs are desperately reporting about college football coach Paterno, college basketball coach Boeheim, actor Robert Wagner, and teen idol Justin Bieber. Please try to avoid getting distracted, and focus on which elected Republicans have been working on restoring our nation versus which elected Republicans are content with the status quo of more spending and more debt.

Listed below are Republican Senators and Representatives; several of you may feel anger and shame if your US Senator is on the list. You may have some pride, and yet feel outnumbered if your US Representative is on the list. Those of us who are constitutional conservatives are certainly in the minority. Instead of wringing your hands and feeling outnumbered just do what Cold Warrior suggests and become a precinct committeeman. If enough of us take this action, constitutional conservatives can gain in numbers and strength.

Jim Demint: Thank you. And thank you all for being in South Carolina tonight. Federal spending and debt are not only our greatest economic problems, they’re our largest national security problem. Yet the president and the Congress continue to spend and borrow at record levels. Just adjusting the spending on existing federal programs will not solve the problem. What federal functions will you eliminate or return to the states in order to balance our budget?

LOL – Yes, Dickie and Dany. Everybody’s watching them so they’re doing their best “see, I’m responsible,” dance right now. Dickie’s pulling the McCain stunt trying to keep his seat and Danny only recently came back in from the lobbying gig to keep Marlin Stutzman from getting the seat, so Dan knows people are paying attention for a while.

I hope it’s dawned on everyone that NOTHING will change these Republicans into fighting for our liberties other than the American people organizing and uniting politically, like never before, to actually “change out” these servants in their next primary elections. Talk does not work. Faxes and e-mails and phone calls and writing and blogging and twittering does not work. The ONLY way we can hope to put pressure on them is through political action inside the Republican Party.
