The Herman Cain sexual harassment stuff is getting so deep you need high-top boots to wade in. The women keep popping up. What is it now? Four or Five? I don’t think anyone can keep up, especially the left leaning press.
Monday, the country was treated to the Gloria Allred press conference introducing the first
gal ooops, lady to go public. Yes the always running for the cameras Allred, a woman who maxed out her campaign donation to Barak Obama in 2008, just happens to turn up representing Cain accuser, Sharon Bialek.
It turns out the woman Bialek has multiple bankruptcies, a federal tax lien and just a devil of a time holding jobs (nine in 17 years). This morning we learn that Bialek happens to have lived in the same building on Lake Side Drive in Chicago as Obama adviser, David Axelrod. Well now, how much credibility does the woman deserve suddenly coming forward after a decade and a half with a story that can knock Cain out of the GOP nomination for president?
Now, the word is out that Karen Kraushaar, one of the original two accusers has suddenly decided that on second thought, she would like to have her own press conference. This is the woman who was made uncomfortable by Cain saying she was the same height as his wife. Apparently she turned that discomfort into a years pay as she ran for the door fifteen years ago. I don’t know what to make of that. And what are we to make of the statement of Cain’s Campaign Manager Mark Block? He said tonight on FOX that Kraushaar’s son works for . . . get your mind around this . . . Politico, where this whole fiasco was first made public. It appears Block got this wrong. There was another Krashuaar kid (unrelated to Karen Kraushaar) that had worked at Politico but he left in 2010. Bad Mark, Bad, but what are the odds!
The appearance of Gloria Allred with Bialek on Monday took the Cain harassment stink to whole other level. He felt he had to respond and so he hired a very good lawyer and held a press conference Tuesday afternoon (11-8). With his candidacy on the line, Herman Cain made a total and forceful denial of all of the harassment charges leveled at him. Here is the press conference edited down to less than seven minutes:
Despite, a good performance at the press conference and despite a firm, total denial, Cain’s problems aren’t over yet. Reports are there is another woman ready to go public with some sort of allegation against Cain. Stunning isn’t it that Cain could have had all these issues and could have kept his job at the National Restaurant Association? Funny there are no allegations from Cain’s years at Godfather’s Pizza, but then the NRA home office is located inside the Beltway. Curious, that.
