The comment in the title was brought to you by Andy Rooney, the liberal, who all the media praised yesterday upon his death. The man decried all Republicans, mocked President Bush and held his leftism on his sleeve for all to see.
““My problem with Dan was always that you knew where he stood politically. And the fact that he stood on my side didn’t have anything to do with it. I thought he was a bad representative of the liberal side because he was so obvious with his opinions. There were just little words he used when he was on the air that made it apparent to everyone that he was a liberal Democrat. And Cronkite, for instance, was just, had just the same liberal Democratic opinions as Dan had, but you would never know it. No one knew it during all the time Cronkite was on the air.”
Of course it has only been in the past decade and the advent of the internet that all could see. People like Andy Rooney, Dan Rather and Walter Cronkite for years had the full attention of America and they used it to push their liberalism. They made conservatives look crazy, they made you feel bad if you didn’t agree with welfare and unions and every other leftist idea. You see people like Andy Rooney, believe in the ideals of communism and Marxism, they always believed that it wasn’t done right, that if given a chance here in America, the land of the hardworking man and woman that those at the top would do it right. They are and were absolutely insane, communism/Marxism doesn’t work, because people like those filthy hippies at #OWS prove, for all to see, that the lazy will never get up off of their pathetic behinds and work “for the common good”. No, it would be the conservatives of this Country who would get up at 5AM or 6AM and work to 5PM or 6PM to put in their hard days work and the #OWS lazy wankers would take, and take and take some more.
There is a reason that communism failed and it is the lazy amongst the populace who never worked a hard day in their life Liberals Always Tend To Want To Run The Marxist/Communist System, Because They Are The Lazy Takers
That reasoning may be explained by an op-ed, a couple of years earlier, in the June 26, 1989 New York Times defending communism:
“Communism got in with a bad crowd when it was young and never had a fair chance,” Rooney wrote. According to Rooney, “the original communist philosophy may have been wrong, but they didn’t plan it as a totalitarian system… Communist governments have been dominated by men, not Marxist ideals.” Rooney explained that the “communist idea of creating a society in which everyone does his best for the good of everyone is appealing and fundamentally a more uplifting idea than capitalism.”
Rooney conceded that “communism’s only real weakness seems to be that it doesn’t work,” but Rooney had less kind words to say about capitalism: “It seems sad and sort of a spiritual defeat for us all that an economic system based on doing it for No. 1 is more successful than one based on a noble ideal.” Unthreatened by Soviet Premier Nikita Khrushchev’s 1956 threat, “We will bury you,” Rooney confidently contended, “Mr. Khrushchev didn’t mean anything more evil than that communism would be the winner over capitalism in the competition to do the best for the most people in the world.” Besides, Rooney concluded, “They aren’t burying us; we’re burying them. But it’s no reason to gloat.”
It never ceases to amaze me how these liberals/progressives/communists live the life of luxury in their million dollar apartments in New York or their 3000+ sq ft homes in California and yet proceed to try to sell the failed ideologies of the past, while living large off of the one ideology that has made rich people out of the poor, capitalism. What they are dear friends are the epitome of the word HYPOCRITE!
