Throw Me a Bone… Pay My Tuition

These occupiers of Wall Street may be a distraction from larger problems, but they are dang funny. They are proof positive that the Department of Education is a giant waste of money. Don’t even get me started on the wisdom of the outstanding $550 billion in student loans guaranteed by the government.

Can we say Pell is hell? It’s cruel and unusual punishment to limit the free Pell bucks to 5k a year. Poor students have to borrow the rest. And now the government OWNS the student loan business. No wonder we have “students” like this guy:

Did you catch what the kid said when asked why someone should pay his tuition? Yes, sonny, you can “put it out there” the same way Obama puts out the Warren Buffet lie that his secretary pays more taxes than the super rich. Tax paying Americans see both of you for what you are… a dumb slacker kid and a socialist president using an aging crony capitalist to stoke class warfare.

I like the persistence of the British accented interviewer; he managed to draw out the stupidity with dogged questions, without upsetting the idiot he was interviewing. It’s like, maybe if I ask for stuff, even unjustifiably, I’ll get something for my effort. Looks like whatever tuition money he’s already spent has been completely wasted. At least he’s a fairly well-groomed wastrel…
