I can’t help but giggle, a little, at the latest rage in the streets and across the front pages of America’s elite media over this latest Occupy Wall Street thing; [sighing wistfully] there’s always a buck to be made on the backs of pissed off people I guess… “a fool and his money” and all that.
In the the first of a jillion ironies, however, lies the reality that these poor people are enriching their so-called “leaders” while they lather themselves up over the very thing they believe has already been done to them by the people against whom they say they doth protest; victimization without representation.
Now mind you, I’d like to blame this childish little group-temper tantrum entirely on ignorant and naive young people except I’d be giving them far too much credit. They clearly aren’t smart enough to dream this up on their own. Take a look at the faces in these crowds…far too many of them are old enough to know better, and a good lot of them appear to be old enough to have been the ones that beclowned themselves in front-page news images back in the 60’s (sans this creepy newfound cannibalism thing anyway); another time and another place where the filth piled up and the losers asked for the same things… liberation, and a belief that they were in control of themselves and their own destiny.
Be careful what you ask for kidz… all the rest of us get our own liberation when you get yours (attend to the comments to get my meaning).
Now the upside to the 60’s was the burning of the bra (my personal fave), the free love (missed those giveaways; had to work for mine), and the “sex, drugs, and rock and roll” (which vaguely rings a bell, although at my age STML [short term memory loss] can now be falsely attributed to the latter rather than the former). This go ’round, however, the dolts and the dimwits… the so-called 99%’ers… want something altogether different; they want to destroy America because they believe, in doing so, that they will be rich and powerful and the rich and powerful will NOT be. Problem is, the math don’t work.
Making matters worse is this communist POS Van Jones who used to work for Obama (who sorta LIKES what the kidz are doing on Wall Street because we aren’t watching him destroy the place at the moment). He (Jones) believes that the Occupy Wall Street Movement will eclipse the Tea Party, and will ultimately succeed in taking America back… back to an American dream he says his movement represents. Further, he suggests that these people on the streets now represent 80% of America while the Tea Party only represents 20%, and he seems to genuinely believe that what you see in New York now is what this country not only needs, but it’s what this country wants and is what they have believed in, and stood for, all along:
Left-wing activist and former Obama administration official Van Jones said “watch out” because his Save the American Dream movement, along with the Occupy Wall Street protest movement, would eclipse the Tea Party in 2012.
[T]he potential here is about 10 times greater than the Tea Party because if you look at the Tea Party [it] represented about 20 percent of the American people when they started. We represent 80 percent – so, watch out.”
Jones said that this new movement – called the American Dream movement – was already “massively bigger” than the Tea Party was when it first began.
Yeah…watch out alright.
It’s one thing for a bunch of dirty hippies, and the idjit offspring of said dirty hippies, to crap on cop cars and march against something everyone around them has suggested is bad (about which they aren’t smart enough to comprehend anything on their own). It’s another thing altogether to think the rest of us are going to sit idly by and allow them to tear down the country and rebuild it in the image of a self avowed Communist. I got news for Mr. Jones and his “movement”; it ain’t happening on my watch big fella… it only took 3% of us to fight and win the last revolution…and WE had the guns. (I know, I know… your followers flunked history; it’s all good, you can bring them up to speed on that, m’kay?).
If these Teacher-Union educated dropouts want to make the country better, then they need to do what the Tea Party did… run for freaking office and fight the fight where the laws are written. On the streets of New York, and out in the suburbs, it’s not laws that are written, rather it is obituaries. And, yes, that is a threat; burn my flag and rob my family and steal (and redistribute) my assets and “eat rich people” and destroy my country, and you can expect to face a resistance by force. Sorry kids, that TOO is the American dream, and you’ll not be stealing mine or my grandchildren’s America away from us without a fight.
