This week New Zealand Christian minister Ray Comfort published his documentary “180” on the Internet. It’s a fascinating look at real time conversions on the subject of abortion. In his documentary, Mr. Comfort cleverly and rightly compares the horror of the holocaust of the Jews to the current holocaust of the most vulnerable in our society, the unborn. If you question the comparison consider the following: about 3,400 babies are aborted every day in the United States alone. In China, 10 times that many babies are killed in the womb daily.
LifeSiteNews interviewed Mr. Comfort about his documentary:
LSN: What’s the number one mistake people make when trying to dialogue about abortion? (Please give more than one, if more come to mind.)
COMFORT: This is such an emotional issue because we are talking about the murder of human beings, so it’s very easy to become frustrated and let anger take over. But that is a mistake because almost every pro-abortion person has been deceived into thinking that a woman has more rights than a “fetus.”
LSN: How would you sum up what makes a conversation about abortion fruitful, instead of just an argument? What’s your secret weapon?
COMFORT: If there is a secret weapon, it’s love. Love swallows fear.
Mr. Comfort hopes his short film will go viral and he’s making copies of the film widely available on college campuses. Since it’s release it has had almot 350K views on youtube.
While the film is longer than our short attention spans can normally handle, it’s well worth the time and can provide a useful guide for pro-lifers engaging in dialogue with pro-aborts.
P.S. You’ll be shocked how many young people do not know the name Adolf Hitler. It’s mind blowing.
