Sarah Palin: Time to Stand and Deliver!

I cannot tell you how painful it was for me to write that title, but I must.  For over two years, I’ve supported Sarah – from the pages of the internet, to here in my own county.  Many times I’ve pointed out the lies the mainstream media were selling about Sarah, and the people were buying. I was bloodied at another site where I used to post for supporting her.  I would still fight for her today – if she chose to get in the fight.  However, she cannot just sit back and sling arrows at the Republican candidates from her Facebook page, and leave open that she may still run. These GOP primary candidates are getting vetted by each other now, and while it is difficult to watch them go after each other, it is more difficult to see attacks come from Sarah from the safety of Facebook.  Right now, she is sitting on the fence, and leaving her supporters in limbo about her future plans.   The problem that Sarah does not seem to recognize, is that she is doing the Democrats’ dirty work for them.  Not only that, she doesn’t seem to be willing to put herself up on that same stage and make her case.  What she is doing is causing harm to the process for our candidates.

We can appreciate that you don’t want the media choosing your entrance date, Sarah, and that the primary campaign season kicked off early for the Republicans; however, there is a guy, no matter how bad he is, who will raise close to a billion dollars to win a second term.  It is Barack Obama we need to defeat and now is the time to decide if you are going to help make this happen.  It is now mid-September, so Sarah, with all due respect, either join the primary and fight strong like the mama tiger you are, or do what you can to get conservatives elected.  Do not go down the road of being an armchair quarterback; we already have plenty of those.

I would also mention that saying “some” in the Party will not like her attacking anyone is because she is going up against the “inside” beltway guys, well honey, I am no inside the beltway guy but even I recognize after all this time and all this talk that you haven’t even prepared your supporters for a run. I see them and I retweet them on Twitter, where they are begging you to run. You said and I quote, I will get in if there is no one who speaks to me. Mrs. Sarah Palin, you have intimated that there is no one who speaks to you, so keep your word and get in, if not, don’t sit out there with all of the power you have obtained and belittle or attack those who have decided to get in to save this Country!

  1. I agree with your post, Jaded… especially the shots she took at Perry since she has alleged in the past that they are friends. If this is how she treats her “friends”…
I think sarah palin tossing her hat in this ring at this time would be a horrible idea. I like her, I like her common sense and I love that she appears to be so unafraid, but her entry now would really screw things up. And no matter what she may or may not think I do not believe for a NY minute she can actually get elected and my whole goal has always been to beat the SLF even if it means we run Donald Duck to achieve that. I think her best spot right now would be as head of the RNC… she can raise huge amounts of $$$ and inspire millions to get out and vote. And she should throw her support to the one most electable who, IMO, is Perry.
    As an aside:
I absolutely LOVE this graphic and am ever so hopeful that we can have it as a bumpersticker in the UP store? Or on a sweatshirt pretty please? It’s really terriffic! And I still want the Debt Star one, too… I don’t remember if it was on one of your posts or on Queen H.’s but it was great!

    • I think anyone can beat Obama, he is TOXIC however, I don’t appreciate her slinging arrows while pussyfooting around about running, when she opted not to announce one way or the other in her IA speech, I thought ok once again she is dinging the media but no she is just living large being Sarah….have I donated a few times to her PAC and will not in the future. Playing pussyfoot with the media is one thing, playing it with your followers is quite another!

  2. P.S.
Apparantly whilst Ste. Sarah was governor she/they accepted a large federal grant which would provide Gardisil to all age appropriate girls in Alaska for “free”.
Also Minnesota has mandatory vaccines for HepB, among others, a point upon which Ms. Bachmann was noteably silent.

  3. Agreed, Jaded. I am currently undecided about whom I will vote for, but Sarah has made me positive that I won’t vote for her if she declares. I am not happy about how this primary is playing out, but the candidate selection seems a lot better than in 2008. Hopefully we will end up with a better nominee than McCain. Other than Paul, Romney, and Huntsman… I think we will definitely improve. I think any GOP candidate can win, I just don’t see America being stupid enough to vote Obama again.
