US Day of Rage: Will it be a *firecracker* or a *dud*

By now many or most of you may have heard about the “US Day of Rage: Occupy Wall Street.” It is scheduled for Saturday, September 17.

It is billed as a “peaceful” occupation over many days, which seems to belie the title, in over 50 cities across America with the major action to go down in New York City. Reports are Madrid will also be involved. Below is a picture of their logo:

Notice anything familiar? A hammer and sickle. And where have we seen those symbols before?

I’ve been keeping an eye on this for the past several weeks. I am not going to go into much detail or many links of where I have found the information for obvious reasons, however, there is much I can share with you.

From their website, which announces “Publius is very unhappy”:

American institutions and government have been captured by oligarchs and kleptocrats, who systematically set about stealing and looting what was once a great nation.

America can once again be a great nation, but we must take it back. NOBODY will do this for us. It will not be handled back to us by bought ‘representatives’.

Wall Street is a huge contributor to the political machine, which in turns enables Wall Street’s corporate plunder of our nation. Both the Democratic and Republican parties set the bankster agenda because of the MONEY. When we speak of ‘taking the MONEY out of politics’, we have no choice but to focus on the sources of the MONEY.

As a critical FIRST STEP, we call on Citizens to take the lead. Bring your friends and neighbors together to non-violently protest the tyranny of kleptocrats on Sept 17, 2011 (#Sept17).

And as of a couple days ago, they now have their “instructions to protesters” and tactical plans” posted. They are quite lengthy and detailed and state their “demands.” Below the “plans” is this statement:

New York City is the financial capital of the world. We consider the entire island of Manhattan and even the Citicorp building in Long Island City, Queens to be ‘Wall Street’. The NYPD may kettle or blockade Wall Street, but they cannot kettle or blockage Manhattan.

If they shut us down, we will re-establish our assemblies at the nearest possible block up, down, east, or west.

If the NYPD kettle or blockades every PUBLIC street in Manhattan, Queens, Brooklyn, or the Bronx, they only reveal what we at US Day of Rage already know: Our government is corrupt, its powers are in the hands of treasonous and tyrannical forces, and, together, WE THE PEOPLE will prevail.

The American Revolution is alive and well. It’s a group of non-violent citizen nobodies who believe in the radical notion that Americans have a right to freedom of speech and the right to peaceable assembly, in deed the right to engage in politics through free and fair elections unsullied by disloyal, incompetent, and wasteful special interests that are destroying our democratic republic and preying on the resources and spirits of citizens.

Many of the blogs are reporting, I believe irresponsibly, that Stephen Lerner of SEIU is behind this. While Lerner supposedly did state in the spring he wanted to bring down the big banks and Wall Street, this writer cannot find his name anywhere: on twit, on FB, on any articles in relation to USDOR. That’s not to say he isn’t the puppetmaster, however care should be taken when linking a person’s name to an event without actual proof.

What I can tell you for certain are several things that are stated publicly by those involved. Of paramount concern is the group Anonymous who is actively involved and says so. Anonymous is a group of hackers, who are just that, Anonymous, who have eluded and frustrated the FBI for many years with their hacking abilities. They claim credit for the following, among others:

  • hacking into Wikileaks and releasing info.
  • hacking into the San Francisco mass transit system BART several weeks ago and releasing emails, user names and passwords of riders. This was in *retaliation* for BART shutting off cell phone service in one area after protesters were fomenting and calling others to take part in the protest of a homeless man being shot by police.
  • hacking into various companies, the most notable of which is CitiGroup, and releasing email info. This one I can attest to, as I am a customer of several of these companies and was inundated for days with spam email.

What is unclear at this point is what the intentions of Anonymous are on September 17, or whether or not they can hack into bank accounts and release information as they claim.

According to ComputerWorld the DHS has issued a warning about Anonymous:

The U.S. Department of Homeland Security today issued a somewhat unusual bulletin warning the security community about the planned activities of hacking collective Anonymous over the next few months.

The bulletin, issued by the DHS National Cybersecurity and Communications Integration Center (NCCIC), warns financial services companies especially to be on the lookout for attempts by Anonymous to “solicit ideologically dissatisfied, sympathetic employees” to their cause.

Anonymous has recently used Twitter to try and persuade dissatisfied employees within the financial sector to give them information and access. Though such attempts appear to have been largely unsuccessful so far, “unwilling coercion through embarrassment or blackmail may be a risk to personnel,” the bulletin warned.

Anonymous also plans to be involved in the October 6 *occupation* of DC’s Freedom Plaza “for as long as it takes to end all the wars and create a new world order.” They also plan a hack into FaceBook, which they have made public, sometime in November.

What else is happening? Another major planned venue is in San Francisco in front of the headquarters of Bank of America. Bank of America has been the target of radical groups, among them the rebranded ACORN, in *retaliation* for foreclosures, which ironically, ACORN, Fannie & Freddie insisted on. Video of a St. Louis “attack” from last month is here.

Last evening Sarah Palin’s home phone number was posted on twitter. And no, I didn’t call it to see if it was the real deal. And no, I am NOT going to post the screen shot.

Will “US Day or Rage” be a firecracker or a dud? That is difficult to say. However, I am advising all to do what should be done anyhow: disaster preparedness. If the worst happens, and just one bank is hacked and compromised, it will be a house of cards which will tumble very rapidly. Checks and credit cards could be useless so have some cash in the house. For the necessities of life.

I am hoping they destroy businesses and hurt police etc., because after the Hoffa remarks to blanket the leftist Democrats with their own animals behavior will be just too delicious, sometimes pain must be felt for real CHANGE to begin!

Scenarios. 1. Nothing much happens, or nothing at all. Short and sweet reasoning: They already have a second date scheduled and don’t want to screw it up. 2. SHTF in lower Manhattan. You ever see a two-cop team of NYCPD on their beat dealing with critters and angry about their city being harmed ? I have – many a time. Now imagine 15% of the whole five-borough department in one place…… Plus the assorted ‘outside assistance’ that’ll be on hand…… all armed better than normal. 3. The average Noo Yawka. Blissfully unaware of this event, looking to just get from… Read more »

In the interest of accuracy…I don’t think it’s a hammer and sickle on the poster. The image is pretty clearly ripped off from the
statue in the U.N. Gardens by Yevgeny Vuchetich entitled Let Us Beat Swords into Plowshares.

Not that this improves things much. While the title references Isaiah 2:4, it seems that Vuchetich was about as socialist as you can get.
