A Secular Marxist Mayor Is Trying To Excise God From The Public: It Cannot Be Done

America, the greatest of all nations in history, one that was fought for and built with the help of the grace of God, now has a battle to fight to keep God in the public square.  More and more, we see the attempts by secularists to take God out of the public consciousness of America.  This is certainly the atheists final goal, to create a Godless society, but a godless society is a declining society. One can almost pinpoint the date of this decline in America – when the Supreme Court (1962, 1963), decided to take prayer out of public schools.  Now we see youth run amok with drugs and “free” love, which was never free, there was always a price to be paid for those actions. It is still amazing to me that with all the proof staring Americans in the face of what a Godless society brings, that people like Mayor Bloomberg would still attempt to take God away from the day that brought Americans together in love of God and Country – which had been sorely missing in America. Yet, the polls and visually tell us that Americans, as a majority, still believe in God and Country and will not only pray on 9-11…but they will do so in such a large and profound voice that the whole world will hear it. A Prayer For 9-11:

In America, public prayer is unifying. At memorials, Americans pray. At inaugurations, Americans pray. At funerals, Americans pray. Americans pray before going to war, and Americans pray when the fighting stops. Americans pray in times of sadness and times of joy.

America has a National Day of Prayer because the nation respects prayer’s unique role in the past, the present, and the future.

Prayer brings people together and changes lives. So many of those devastated by the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center nearly ten year ago have found solace and healing in the power of prayer.

The act of prayer did in fact unify the nation on September 11, 2001 and in the following days and weeks as the country began to recover from the shock and loss caused by the attack. As Lt. Col. Henry Haynes, the Pentagon Chaplain on 9/11, put it, “I believe in the power of prayer. There was a lot of prayer going on [that day].”

Try as you will Mr. Bloomberg, you shall fail and America will, with one loud voice, reject your clarion call to the leftists in this Country.  Americans will meet and proudly pray to their God, that indeed, He continue to keep us safe. There is no doubt that Mr. Bloomberg thinks he is more intelligent then the Founders of our great Country; he is not and he never will be, and so I will let one of the Founders speak to him:

Thomas Jefferson
3rd U.S. President, Drafter and Signer of the Declaration of Independence

God who gave us life gave us liberty. And can the liberties of a nation be thought secure when we have removed their only firm basis, a conviction in the minds of the people that these liberties are of the Gift of God? That they are not to be violated but with His wrath? Indeed, I tremble for my country when I reflect that God is just; that His justice cannot sleep forever; That a revolution of the wheel of fortune, a change of situation, is among possible events; that it may become probable by Supernatural influence! The Almighty has no attribute which can take side with us in that event.”
–Notes on the State of Virginia, Query XVIII, p. 237.

Mayor Bloomberg, you can practice your atheism and secularism, and you even have the power to ban (which you did), clergy of all faiths to participate in the official 9/11 Memorial, but the spirit and voices of the people will be louder than your attempt to silence them.
