Senator Marco Rubio: A True Gentleman

Senator Rubio was speaking at Ronald Reagan Presidential Library and Museum in Simi Valley, but prior to his speech he was quick on his feet to save Mrs. Reagan from falling. He is an inspiring man on any given day but he was a real gentleman yesterday. Senator Rubio is my choice for Vice President, no matter whom the candidate would be, because he is conservative to the core of his being. I knew he was special when he came out of the gate to run against that charlatan Charlie Crist and he has done nothing to change my mind about him. He has stood firm in the face of the insanity of Washington, DC, he never says one thing and does another, he is a principled man and I thank him for that.

I do have a small quibble with him though as I understand he used the word compassionate frequently in his speech. I would like to remind the Senator that conservatism in and of itself is compassionate and quite unlike the “compassionate” conservatism that President Bush sold us on, that true conservatism does not need a precursor to it.

World Net Daily’s Joe Kovacs apparantly has come out and said that whereas the Founders did not specifically define that which qualifies one as a “natural born citizen”, clearly their intentions were that a “natural born citizen” is someone born to two parents who are both citizens. His position is that although both Rubio’s parents were here LEGALLY at the time of his birth, they had yet to become citizens themselves. Thus, if you subscribe to his theory, Rubio would be inelligible for either VP or POTUS.
Someone please bounce a wine bottle (or two) off my head if my memory has failed, but I don’t ever remember reading that our commie leader’s father ever became an American so…

  2. The Romans, no strangers themselves to politics and statecraft, were always watchful for historical harbingers. They would have considered Nancy’s sudden slip and Rubio’s stunning recovery of her, a sign from the gods. Read into this what you will, citizens. Just sayin’.
