HomePatriot DispatchesCongressman Joe Wilson "I Was Right"

Congressman Joe Wilson “I Was Right”

He absolutely was correct, Obama did lie when talking about Obamacare not covering illegals, because it does. You are not allowed to ask whether the person coming to the clinics are legal or illegal and that in a nutshell is money that we just don’t have. We have been the world’s police, we can hardly be their sugar daddies for healthcare. I knew the moment Congressman Wilson said “you lie” that Americans suddenly were shaken out of their deep sleep and haven’t gone back to slumber since. Thank You Congressman Wilson For Being An Honest Man

South Carolina Rep. Joe Wilson is turning his infamous “you lie” moment into a fundraising tool for his 2012 re-election campaign. In a blog post titled “I Was Right,” posted Friday on his “Joe Wilson for Congress” website, the Republican argues that he has been proven right in the two years since his outburst against President Obama.

“Nearly two years ago I made national news when I voiced your outrage at the misrepresentations being perpetuated by the Obama administration,” wrote Wilson. “The media and Obama’s liberal allies attacked me for only pointing out the truth that ObamaCare would cover illegal immigrants.”

“Yesterday, my point was vindicated when the Department of Health and Human Services announced its newest ObamaCare grant,” he added.

Wilson was referring to news that health care centers receiving ”ObamaCare money” would not be required to check patients’ immigration statuses.

“He misled all of us,” Wilson wrote, without specifically accusing Obama again of lying.

I look forward to the full Republican House, Senate and the new Republican President eradicating Obamacare within one month of taking office in January of 2013, anything less would be criminal.

  1. I felt pretty comfortable with his first announcement and knew Congressman Wilson would be vindicated at some point. There was that other gent who apologized to BP for the shake down too, right before everyone did a pile-on toward him. About the same treatment as Congressman Wilson received.

Your last paragraph is what we are all looking for, but we really need a good bird dog who can communicate principles and beliefs well. Someone like Allen West, Marco Rubio, etc. They know how to get a point across where some of these characters can only barely get through their talking points.

Let alone the parrots (talking heads) on cable.

    • Yes, and the other gent didn’t get chairmanship of energy and commerce. The guy who co-sponsored banning our light bulbs got it. And just the other day, leadership emphasized the point by putting Upton on the Supercommittee as well. Not that the Supercommittee is any wonderful thing – its an unconstitutional joke.

      • Smoky Joe Barton, that’s what the Dallas Morning News calls the congressman who rightly pointed out the Obama jack-job on BP.

Americans in the main and Boehner made him out a fool. Who’s stupid now?

      • Its like they are poking us a with a stick, not getting how angry we already are, they will pay, they will be fired, we cannot take them all out at once, but every two years we get another chance to run someone against their big spending Republican ways!

        • can we please start by primarying the living hell out of Boehner and that wuss Mcconnell? The both need to be gone in the immediate. Spineless, both of them… and oh so focused on the threat to their jobs by real conservatives. Ryan should have been on that committee instead of the king of lightbulbs.

          • The one I am most focused on and am hoping they primary is Upton in Michigan, never has one man done more to poke us with his putting the bill up to repeal HIS bill for taking away our light bulbs in such a manner as for it to fail! he is a FAILURE and must go!
