That this is not the law of the land for receiving welfare benefits boggles the mind. If you are so needy for cash from the Federal Government that you would not go get a drug test really speaks to the flaws in the welfare program. I have been witness in my lifetime to those who abuse the program while sitting on their behinds drinking and drugging and not thinking twice about actually getting a job or help at a rehabs delray beach. I bet you all remember the generations of families living off of welfare and I bet you might even remember how wonderful a majority of them felt when they were forced to get a job. There will always be those who will never get a job when they are paid to do absolutely nothing.
I look forward to a program whereby you must do some type of community service for your check, whether that be sweeping roads, or volunteering at animal shelters or other County, State or Federal agencies. There should be no question about default with our Country when you are making those who are getting something for nothing doing service for that check, those food stamps and that supposed “free” healthcare. It Is The Right Thing To Do
If Floridians want welfare, they better make sure they are drug-free.
Republican Gov. Rick Scott signed a bill on Tuesday that requires benefit recipients to undergo drug testing.
Applicants for the federal Temporary Assistance for Needy Families program who test positive for illicit substances won’t be eligible for the funds for a year, or until they undergo treatment.
Those who fail a second time would be banned from receiving the funds for three years.
The only reason this has not become the law of the land would be Democrats whose voter base is dependent upon drug use in the first place. It is no secret that you have to be a drug user to vote for a Party that is taking away every liberty this Country has ever given to its populace.
