When Obama Summons Boehner to the White House does he use a process server?

How does Boehner take knowing he has been called out on the carpet?

You naughty little Ohioan!!!!

It is interesting how the MSM builds a perception.

I wonder how they would take a Boehner summoning Obama to the House floor. Offer him the podium for an hour if he will promise to bring his detailed vision how to balance the budget. Let the Saetoro fly.

For that matter let loud mouth Chris Van Hollen explain how his Balanced Budget Amendment would work since he says the Republican version is unfair. Come on Chrissie, if the Republican BBA is unfair show us what a balanced BBA should look like. And remember it HAS to balance the budget. Which means when your class warfare tax policies shrink revenues or force capital offshore you will get to CUT spending on your precious vote buying schemes as well. Of course he doesn’t have a plan to balance the budget. His only plan is to keep pushing until default is the only option.

But back to Barry. I don’t know what that feller is smoking but it is obvious the guy is cracking up. No pun intended. The real question here is whether Boehner will buckle before Bacha breaks.

As a business person who has negotiated a contract or two I recognize the importance of territory and home field advantage. Back in Newt’s heyday we would see him charge into the White House like a conservative tiger only to emerge liquid kneed and eyes glazed swooning like an intern in a stained blue dress.

Boehner should just pass the BBA out of the House stand-alone, pass CCB out of the House and pass a small debt ceiling increase with with a legal framework for prioritizing payments.

Boehner has an office and a podium. If he can’t bring himself to break negotiations off, he should insist negotiations take place at one or the other.

For want of a nail the shoe was lost.
For want of a shoe the horse was lost.
For want of a horse the rider was lost.
For want of a rider the battle was lost.
For want of a battle the kingdom was lost.
And all for the want of a horseshoe nail.

For want of a spine a nation was lost? It wouldn’t be the first time.

  1. Yep. The Hammer:

This is Obama at his most sanctimonious, demagogic, self-righteous and arrogant. And given the baseline it wasn’t a pretty sight. Look, he started out by summoning the leaders of Congress — summoning them — at 11:00. Who does he think he is? In the American system, the executive and Congress are coequal. In a banana republic, the caudillo will summon the members of the Congress. The way he demanded their appearance in the Oval Office I thought was disgraceful. The branches are coequal.

  2. Yes, this business of “barack summons Boehner to the White House” is a classic cheap shot by the Commie media. I doubt very seriously that it was presented as anything but a “request”, perhaps an “offer”.

If it was a “summons”, then the proper response is the middle finger — and not going.

  3. Yes, the sulky Pony is revealing more petulance by the day. More power to Boehner for letting him stew in his juices.

Didn’t think it was possible, but you found the lighter side of the pouty one’s meltdowns.
