“Independent” Union Approved Panel To Decide Arizona’s Redistricting?

Can that be? I mean, what is the point of getting out the vote and going whole hog to turn your State to what a majority of Americans are, Conservative, to have a “Independent” panel pick a company, whose clients have been Democrats and unions? Seriously, what is the point? So listen Arizonians get off your comfortable couch and get into your legislature’s ear and tell them to knock it off, that you will not be disenfranchised by this obvious attempt to reapportion Arizona to a liberal set of enclaves, when you have donated, put boots on the ground and set about to make it a State that any American, who loves their Country would be proud to be part of! This Is Why 20% Of The Population Is Running This Country Into The Ground

PHOENIX (Thursday, July 21, 2011) — Attorney General Tom Horne has authorized his office to conduct an initial investigation of the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission based on reports that raise questions about the Commission’s compliance with Arizona’s Open Meeting Law and procurement laws when it recently entered into a contract with Strategic Telemetry to provide mapping consultant services.

“I need to emphasize very clearly that this is an initial investigation that will attempt to determine if any violations actually occurred,” Horne said. “I am concerned about reports that have raised questions about some of the procedural actions taken by the commission, and I am committed to finding out whether those concerns warrant any further investigation. If this initial investigation finds that laws have been violated, we will proceed accordingly.”

Another take on the stealing of your Conservative RIGHTS If You Sit Back And Do Nothing, The Left Will Steal Your Freedom

Republicans across the state have been circulating petitions to call a special legislative session to do away with the IRC altogether. Others have called for the IRC chair, Colleen Mathis, to step down or be removed.

Horne made clear that the investigation has just began, but is ongoing, and that the attorney general’s office has no evidence of wrong doing at this time.

State Senator Frank Antenori has been one of the most vocal critics of the IRC process and praised Horne’s investigation.

“They weren’t supposed to do the selection in executive session. That should have been done out in the open,” Antenori told the Arizona Capitol Times. “If they want to play games with their scoring, let them do it in the public,” Antenori added.

The IRC was created by Prop 106 in November 2000, which amended the Arizona State Constitution, stripped the Arizona Legislature of the power to draw state legislative and Congressional districts and created the Arizona Independent Redistricting Commission.

If you do nothing, they will win, I know Conservatives have a life, you know, a job, kids, bills, etc., but damn it these lefties are into destroying this Country one legislative district at a time, stop them, for your kids and grand kids.

  1. When I first posted on this several weeks ago, hardly got a response. Another conquest of the bait and switch Proposition that cuts the accountability and representation out of the process by and for those who wish to subvert the electoral process. Unaccountable Appellate Court Judges made the decisions on the make up of the IRC, and threw out the more middle of the field Independents, leaving the far lefties like Colleen to skew the IRC to the far left. In addition, all of her ‘rulings’ as Chair have been for the far left choices, demonstrating that she is indeed not an Independent at all; at least some of her decisions would have straddled the line had she truly been free of bias. She misuses and abuses Robert’s Rules of Order, again, to the complete benefit of the far left.

One may only hope, that in going “all in” so completely, the “independence” of the IRC will be so in question, that the process will glow with leftie radiation in a way that facilitates the centrist/right lawsuits which will inevitably follow this bastardization of the supposedly politics free process sold to the voters in 2000. (Sorry to my high school Speech and Composition teacher for the run on sentence.) The only hope conservatives and libertarian/independents have now is the legal process.

Once again, it cannot be stated enough, elections have consequences. Not one incumbent Judge on the last ballot lost his or her job over the content of their legal precedents or work history! It is the responsibility of an informed and skeptical electorate to study up on the history of the folks running for public servitude, and vote accordingly. Many sites had judge ratings and synopses of their terms with which to evaluate and vote.**Personally, I voted “NO” on all of them, because they certainly are leading the state farther down a road I don’t wish to be travelling. Accountability is a necessary evil for taking our country back.
