Barack Hussein Obama is the biggest narcissist I have ever viewed in my lifetime and really why wouldn’t he be? I don’t think anyone has ever told him no and it shows, but the Republican Party in the form of the GOP Congress, ignored him this weekend and in so doing has earned a level of respect from me personally. I say a level because as a good Conservative, I am always ready to be stabbed in the back by those in leadership, sad, but true Obama Says 36 Hours, The GOP Says, We Have Better Things To Do

House Republican leaders have missed a 36-hour deadline President Obama set during a Thursday meeting for lawmakers to give him a plan to avert a national default.

The deadline came and went Saturday morning without a response from House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio).

Instead, Boehner and House Majority Leader Eric Cantor (R-Va.) plan to move the Cut, Cap and Balance Act on the floor next week, which would require passage of a balanced budget amendment to the Constitution before the debt limit is raised.

A House GOP leadership aide said at noontime Saturday that Boehner and Cantor did not send Obama a revised proposal to raise the debt-limit, as the president requested.

A White House official said talks continue despite the missed deadline.

“The president, vice president and staff have been in frequent communication with leaders and staff in both chambers and parties, discussing various options,” said the official.

At a meeting late Thursday afternoon, Obama gave congressional leaders 24 to 36 hours to meet with their colleagues to figure out a plan that could pass both chambers.

“It’s decision time,” Obama said.

Ignoring Obama’s directive, Republican leaders are coalescing around the Cut, Cap and Balance bill that is expected to pass the House but has virtually no chance in the Democrat-controlled Senate.

I pray to God that the GOP ignores him all the way to the debt limit increase, meaning, do not give it to him. All 48 Democrat Senators in 2006 voted against President Bush’s request and I expect all Republican Senators to do the same.

  1. If it passes the House, I expect it to pass the Senate, regardless of their whining over it.

It’s a political time bomb. The Democrats in the Senate will punt it to Obama who has promised to veto it.

It’s the pitting of one grand narcissist against other grand narcissists. There is no loyalty among narcissists as there might be among thieves. Some of them will understand that it will be political suicide to stand with the president on this one.

  2. It is a good pic. Maybe a pick-pocket for the next motif…

What is so difficult about being practical?
What is so difficult about doing something you know will be hard to accomplish?

If I had dithered around several years ago, there would still be a meth lab/dealers/skanky users down the street. My neighborhood would have been destroyed.

This can be solved, it’s the withdrawal and detox which will be easy. Staying clean will be the tough part.
And if this country doesn’t stay clean and goes back for just a taste, we die.

  3. This post and all these comments are so spot on and profound. I mean it. I had never considered some of the long term abuse recovery Americans face even if we do get rid of the Dem pushers, including El Jefe in the WH. In one small way though the withdrawal has started. Like any clever drug pusher, with the rapid devaluation of the dollar have started to “cut” the quality of what they are pushing. Soon the addicts will start going violent.A billion in Obama dollars in pork projects, just doesn’t buy the pork it used to buy just a couple of years ago.
