Re-Declaration of Independence

Be it on this day, July Fourth Twenty-Eleven, that the American People reassert their free will and power over their own lives, without the ever watchful eye of Big Government.  The faux altruism expressed by the benevolent dictatorship of the elitists in Washington, DC has not passed the noses of the American People, who have thus smelled the stench of insincerity.  We are tired of it and we simply can not take another year of the nonsense that the Republicans and Democrats in Capitol Hill have put us through.  We are the angry masses marching down Pennsylvania Avenue with our American and Gadsden Flags fluttering behind us, we are the trembling beneath your feet that you feel.  We know you fear us because you wish to disarm and demoralize us with regulations against our arms and hateful venomous attacks claiming our racism and theocratic beliefs are the basis of our movement.  Nay, you spread false rumors that only reflect your underhanded attempts to discourage thought crime in America.

On this day, America says it has had enough of the tyrants who wish to smash down their iron fist on the Constitution.

We no longer need your help.

We no longer require you to help us.

We no longer need your vigilant eyes on us anymore.

America, July Fourth, Twenty-Eleven, is our Re-Declaration of Independence.  To be independent from Big Government and it’s long arm, to never relinquish our rights in place of security, to never allow socialism to creep in again, to never let Sharia Law usurp the power of the Constitution, and to never allow would-be tyrants try to strangle the American Dream and the American People with it’s oppressive rope.

Never again, never again will we allow this to happen.  Heed our words.

Signed,
The American People

  1. Outstanding post, Eric!

This line in particular jumped off the page at me and made me get all goose-pimply:

The faux altruism expressed by the benevolent dictatorship of the elitists in Washington, DC has not passed the noses of the American People, who have thus smelled the stench of insincerity.

    Oh…and welcome to Unified Patriots!

  2. Thanks, Eric. Your idea of a re-declaration reminds me of couples who have been together a long time and taken things for granted deciding to renew their vows. Independence to the founders meant more than just independence from old King George. Lives, fortunes and sacred honor together.

  3. These words are key to our battle:

We must combat this on all fronts, not only the obvious ones but the insidious ones. This is how they’ve managed to get this far.

    Welcome to UP, Eric.

    • Four non-silent consonants in a row! You don’t see that very often.

BTW, good post, Eric. In our form of government, they can’t take our freedom if we refuse to relinquish it. And we refuse.
