Why Is It That The POTUS Always Gets The Best Weed?

Our Toker-in-Chief told us today in his first press conference in three months that we either tax people with corporate jets or our children won’t go to college (even though most of them can’t actually AFFORD to) and we won’t be able to do any really kewl science experiments (even though very few of them actually DO any of us any real good)…oh, and we’d have to kill the National Weather Service (even though they rarely get the weather forecasts right).

No, really-he did.

It occurs to me that he must be smoking some really good weed to think we should be blaming Republicans for not going along with his master plan to increase revenues on the backs of the wealthy and successful in order to pay for all his spending on the victims of his own policies since taking office. And he wants these things without making any “real” cuts on the other end; in his mind, the GOP is the problem with this country-there is no harm whatsoever in any of his trillion dollar a year lifestyle. Everyone else’s million or billion dollar a year lifestyle, however, must be curtailed; there are handouts and special interests (Unions) to tend to dontcha know…the election campaing is heating up and he needs them all in his pocket A.S.A.P.

In my house, I don’t have the luxury of spending money I don’t have on things I can live without…not true in that mansion we were, collectively, stupid enough to give him the keys to however. Imagine any of US spending that far outside our means; there may be no debtor’s prison, but we certainly wouldn’t end up living in the White House…now would we?

I’m not sure who the bigger dope is anymore, but after his presser I think he’s just regained the lead. It’s moronic of the first order to think we only need to minutely trim spending while just looking for fat targets from whom to steal more money. And it’s the basest of class warfare to conflate, on national tv, the issues of college scholarships and business loans and Medicare/Medicaid entitlements with Oil companies and corporate jet owners. He knows he’s lying, and he smiled (with his pretty blue eye shadow) through every word of his tripe.

If the Republicans fall for this bait and switch, they deserve what they’ll get from us out here in the hinterland; increase revenues at the expense of one class to sustain unsustainable handouts to the other class is going to get some people hurt…in the polling places…and I’ve a feeling they all know, already, who each of them is.

There's not much to say... I come from a long line of Appalachian folk that landed in America long before flipping off the King was even a twinkle in the eyes of our founding fathers. We have been Carpenters and coal miners... Soldiers & Sailors and pig farmers and Sunday morning circuit-riding preachers. Hell, I'm told we have even been fairly decent bootleggers too.

  1. Gee, Opuppet spoke out of both sides of his mouth re tax breaks for those who lease or buy corporate jets:

FLASHBACK: AP: Stimulus includes tax break to promote private jet sales

Read more at the Washington Examiner: https://washingtonexaminer.com/blogs/beltway-confidential/2011/06/flashback-ap-stimulus-includes-tax-break-promote-private-jet-sale#ixzz1QgpS85a4

If the Democrat White House Press Corps members had any real reporters among it, every time Opuppet said a word about the tax breaks for the people who use corporate jets they would have interrupted him to correct the record by saying, “”Excuse me, Mr. President, but the Democrat-controlled Congress in 2009 requested and implemented as part of your stimulus package special tax breaks for those who buy or lease corporate jets.” That’s the kind of thing real reporters do. Of course, that’s why that didn’t happened. Because no real “reporters” exist in the Democrat White House Press Corps — they just all seem to be air heads who never do their homework and seem to know not a thing about anything. Or, worse, they do know when Opuppet is telling lies but they are too cowardly to ever point that out to the American people.

  2. I believe Mr Mark Halperin has accurately described the president. It’s true what they say that it takes one to know one. If only Weiner would chime in, what a threesome.

hard to believe that Americans will fall for sustaining spending at levels that were expanded dramatically to fight off the recession. What a failure.
