The Godless Veterans Administration

What a disgusting piece of tripe this article is, and yet should I be surprised that the Veterans Administration under the watchful eye of Barack Hussein Obama is “creating” these rules out of whole cloth? no. I have seen just today, Oregon deciding that the Pledge of Allegiance is “controversial” Pledging Allegiance To The Flag Of The United States Of America Is Only “Controversial” To Damn Communists and now, this final insult to that which makes us in the USA special, God, because WE are one nation UNDER God and to make some fallacious policy to stop the bereaved from saying God or Jesus Christ so that your Communist/Socialist EVIL leftist, America hating self is satiated is one step to many Is Allah Allowed?

Local veterans and volunteer groups are accusing Department of Veterans Affairs officials of censoring religious speech — including banning the word “God” — at Houston National Cemetery.

In one example cited in documents filed this week in federal court, cemetery director Arleen Ocasio reportedly told volunteers with the National Memorial Ladies that they had to stop telling the families, “God bless you,” at funerals and that they had to remove the words “God bless” from condolence cards.

The new allegations of “religious hostility” by VA and cemetery officials follow on the heels of a controversy over a prayer in Jesus’ name by Pastor Scott Rainey at a Memorial Day service in the cemetery.

U.S. District Judge Lynn N. Hughes ruled May 26 that Ocasio couldn’t stop Rainey from using the words “Jesus Christ” in his invocation.

Attorneys with the nonprofit Liberty Institute, which represented Rainey, filed an amended complaint this week after allegedly finding other instances of religious discrimination by cemetery officials against members Veterans of Foreign Wars District 4, The American Legion Post 586, and the National Memorial Ladies, a volunteer group that attends funerals of fallen service members.

The complaint accuses VA of “a widespread and consistent practice of discriminating against private religious speech” at the cemetery.

Ocasio is on vacation and could not be reached for comment. Her assistant, Amanda Rhodes, said the cemetery had no comment.

According to court documents, Ocasio banned members of the groups from using certain religious words such as “God” or “Jesus,” censored the content of prayer, and forbade the use of religious messages in burial rituals unless the deceased’s family submitted the text to her for prior approval.

I don’t know which idiot in Washington DC set up this “rule” but someone should be fired and that someone is Barack Hussein Obama whose cadre of leftists, communists, socialists and statists are creating untenable rules and regulations against all that makes America, well, America!

I’ve visited many National Cemeteries, in circumstances much less than pleasant. The words I was there to speak are burned into my mind, as are the pained faces of those I spoke to. “On behalf of the President of the United States and the people of a grateful Nation, I present this flag as a token of gratitude for your loved ones years of faithful service.”

If only The Anointed One’s bureaucrats knew anything about faithful service.

Nessa, those are indeed heartbreaking words and thank you for saying them to those who need to hear them the most 🙂

The Anointed One’s bureaucrats are communists unfortunately and it is their mission to remove God and replace with government.

Over and over again liberals try to take God out of even places where “God bless you” is the most appropriate. Over and over they get their hands smacked by a sane judge or an outpouring of public opinion. Yet over and over again they still try it. The time for pushback on this is years ago, but now will do.
