MLK, Anthony Weiner, and The Democrat Party

First off, lets be clear, Martin Luther King was a Republican. The Republican Party is the party of Civil Rights, and the Democrats in the South were the Party of Bull Connor. There was no switch from Democrat racists to the Republican Party, that is a lie made up so that Democrats could become the Daddy of the Black Community. Now that all of that is cleared up, lets move on to today’s racists in the Democrat Party.  Consider Jon Stewart and his fellow comedians and/or writers in the Democrat Party who attack Blacks in the Republican Party as Uncle Toms.  They are the real racists.  And, let me help alleviate the ignorance (compliments of our Lefty public schools), as to who Uncle Tom really was.  You Democrats Wished You Were An Uncle Tom:

Often in popular culture you hear the phrase “I’m no Uncle Tom” or a reference to someone as “an Uncle Tom” in derisive terms alluding to someone who knuckles under and does the white man’s bidding. But, the character of Uncle Tom in Stowe’s novel was anything but the modern vision. He was a strong figure described by many reviewers as a “Christlike figure” who was actually killed by his owner, Simon LeGree. So, how did we get such a different, opposite view of Uncle Tom? I am speculating here but I suspect that the reason Stowe’s version of Uncle Tom failed is because it followed her novel. Uncle Tom was portrayed as the strong, proud man that she had created. But the versions of the book that came to stage, and later film, that were successful presented a Tom who was a shuffling, subservient old man. My guess is that audiences, even those who opposed slavery, did not want to see a strong black man opposing and standing up to authority. That feeling remained prevalent well into the early 20th century and thus, films followed the same recipe. So, when someone is called an “Uncle Tom” it should signify characteristics of strength of character, integrity and self-worth. Instead, due to stage and film adaptations, being called an “Uncle Tom” holds an extremely negative connotation.

Anyhow, onto the racism in the Democrat Party.  Jon Stewart mocked Herman Cain as being illiterate on his show the other day – The NACCP Won’t Care Because Jon Is a Liberal And The NAACP Is Liberal Before It Is For Blacks, as N.O.W. Is Liberal Before It Is For Women. The Daily Beast, A Progressive Horror Blog, likened Anthony (The Pervert Congressman) Weiner, to Martin Luther King.  That’s right, he likened a man, who Tweeted out his erect penis, to the man who broke the back of the Democrat Party segregationists in the 60s to a perverted white man in the House of Representatives. When Will The Black Community Rise UP And Stop This Onslaught Of Comparisons From Every Disgusting Member Of The Democrat Party?

You might want to ask Daily Beast contributor Lee Siegel, who did just that (emphases mine) in a June 10 post entitled “C’Mon, America, Nobody’s Perfect”:

With all the commotion over Anthony Weiner’s gross and undignified online behavior, we have been too distracted to see that we have an even worse miscreant in our midst.

I’m not talking about a congressman from Queens. I’m referring to a figure who has inspired the hopes of tens of millions of people in this country and even throughout the world, and who then betrayed those hopes time and time again. He spoke of the dignity of ordinary men and women but acted in a way that makes Weiner’s online dalliances seem trivial. A compulsive seducer of women, he lied to his closest aides and friends, and to his wife and children. Knowing that he was being watched and recorded, he went ahead and had sex with promiscuous abandon, jeopardizing his cause and desecrating the martyrdom of the people who gave their lives for that cause. He traduced what he claimed to be his own most fundamental principles.

The man I am describing is Martin Luther King, and before you head-butt your screen—or report me to your local blogger/commissar—think for a moment. If you are breathlessly following every revelation of Weiner’s stupidity, or angrily denouncing his conduct and pronouncing him unfit to hold office, you might to want ask yourself where this country would be if the FBI, which tape-recorded King’s extramarital adventures, had released the tapes to the public. You might want to reflect on where this country would be had the technology of exposure, and the culture of personal destruction, existed when we needed credible, if flawed, leaders to make this country a juster and more humane place to live.

Good Lord, could there be a more disturbing comparison? Other than the unions demanding more 100K jobs under the auspices of the Civil Rights Movement? Actually, NO.  It is always surprising to me that a group of Americans walk in lockstep with a Party, who will throw them to the wolves to get/keep their power. The Black community as a whole is no longer the majority minority, no, that would be the Hispanic Community.  We’ll soon see how the Democrat Party has moved on to this newest victim group, as they will outnumber the Black victim/voter constituency in the near future. As the Black community has unemployment numbers nearing 50%, it will be interesting to see what the Democrats will do the Hispanic community.

  1. Amen on all that Jaded. I have always loathed the attempts to equate the demands of gays and others to gain preferential treatment based on behavior and/or “identity” to the rights deprived Blacks based on skin color. But the Dem party and Leftist media abide such excesses to keep their sick coalition together. A recent example I found of how the Left covers up the Dem racist past is in a book, “The Day Freedon Died” about the Colfax Massacre during Reconstruction I skimmed for a column tidbit. At the front of the book it listed the cast of characters. The groups were categorized by author Charles as: The Republicans, White Supremacists, The Politicians, The Judges, The Lawmen, The Lawyers, and The Soldiers. Notice a missing category? Rather than expose the villians for who they were, he ignores the fact that the White Supremacists were all DEMOCRATS!

  2. It is a fact civil rights bills of the 1950s and early1960s passed, in the Senate at least, only with Everett Dirksen (R-IL) delivering a solid Republican bloc in favor with the split Dems. The Dems were hopelessly divided and even their “progressive” thinkers like Fulbright (D-Ark) were still voting in favor of segregation. Coulter’s new book posits the interesting premise that had Nixon been elected (well, actually he probably was but that’s another article another day!) civil rights ligislation would have passed but with much less moaning and whining and histrionics, the pro-segregation Dems having been tactically bypassed. The key point is, the segreationists were ensconsed in the Dem party and thus had a chokehold on the entire Dem party which otherwise had the majority. Same struggle but less grievous battlefield had the R/s had majority and Presidency & been carring the issue forward. One wonders why MLK, himself a registered Republican, didnt also see and choose the superior path The South turned Republican because in 1972 the Dem party turned pacifist and anti American. Those things do not sit well in the South,

    • “Those things do not sit well in the South.” How very true, and do you know that, for all the crap the Northern elites give the Southerners for being rednecks and still fighting the Civil War and all that crap, Southerners are among the first, and probably in the biggest numbers, to serve the United States of America in its military. The pride they exhibit for their country, it’s flag and its traditions puts to shame anything you get out of the blueblood North Eastern Corridor.
