Timothy Geithner Is Lying About Our Freshman Congresspeople

It appears that Timothy, the guy who cannot use tax software to get his taxes correct, and was given the job that sits in judgment of other tax payers, is pushing a lie. He is doing what Democrats always do, they use their media wing, CBS, NBC, ABC etc., to push their version of a meeting, then tells the American people that a deal is done, when the truth is, no such thing actually occurred. Timothy’s Recollections:

Geithner said Thursday after a meeting with freshmen Republicans in the House that a default crisis will be avoided, as Congress and the White House can reach a deal on long-term fiscal plans this summer.

The U.S. Treasury Department stressed on Wednesday that the nation has hit the 14.29-trillion-U.S.-dollar legal ceiling on borrowings and was starting to take extraordinary measures to buy some time until Aug. 2 for Democrats and Republicans to ink a deal and ward off a default on U.S. debt.

Geithner has repeatedly urged Congress to avoid the catastrophic economic and market consequences of a default crisis by raising the statutory debt limit in a timely manner to avoid first-ever federal government default on its obligations.

Now the reality of what actually happened is nothing even close to a deal: That Whole Black Magic Of Reality, Jumps Up And Smacks Timothy In The Face

Treasury Secretary Tim Geithner did little to convince freshman GOP lawmakers of the newfound urgency of raising the debt ceiling on Thursday.

House freshman lawmakers who attended the late day bicameral closed-door meeting said that Geithner’s refusal to present a “scorable” plan that would reduce the deficit in exchange for a must-pass debt limit increase, left many feeling frustrated.

Rep. Steve Chabot (R-Ohio), who sat through most of the hour-long meeting, told The Hill that Geithner said “absolutely nothing” to convince him of the urgent need to increase the current $14.3 trillion limit by the August 2 deadline.

I, of course, am of the mind, that enough, is more than enough. It is time to put the brakes on this out of control spending. The Federal Government does not have a revenue problem, they have a spending addiction and those Congressmen and women we sent to Washington are there to put DC in rehab!

  1. I dunno Jaded, little Timmah wove his magic spell of numbers & unicorns for almost an hour, must’ve convinced the freshmen of the righteousness of his cause, no? Guess not…

One of our guys needs to turn Teh One’s phrase around-from ‘at some point you’ve made enough money’ to ‘at this point, you’ve spent enough money’–see how they like it. Cheers!

  2. When history is written (assuming this nation survives the Bambi administration), Little Timmy will be labeled as one of the stupidest people to every get their grubby little hands on the economy. He will be reviled, along with Bambi himself, far worse than Herbert Hoover ever was.

I will laugh and party when he is run off of Treasury on a rail.

    • When he is finally bounced from his current job, there be a cozy job for him at the World Bank where he can continue his destruction, this time in the developing world. He can have his way with maids all over the world. It is apparently what the captains of the universe do… rape and pillage.

      Another Goldman punk.
