So Congressman Anthony Weiner has had a week I am sure he would like to get back, however, he will not, and should not. I am going to carry his bad week out a little longer because well he deserves it. Mr. Weiner not only decided that misogyny was appropriate behavior for a Congressman You Are A Pathetic Little Man but that ignoring the laws of New York is as well. You see, to “show” that he is above this maelstrom that circling around him, he decided to take a drive. That drive was in his 20 year old SUV, that had expired registration. If you or I were caught with expired registration our cars would be towed away until we paid for it, because it is illegal to drive that car Laws Are For The Little People
After a week of facing questions about lewd Twitter photos, Rep. Anthony Weiner Saturday had more explaining to do: why his Nissan Pathfinder has New York license plates but a 2007 registration sticker.
A photo of Weiner behind the wheel of his more than 20-year-old SUV appeared in Saturday’s Daily News as he left his Washington home Friday night.
It had a New York license plate – US Congress 9 – but no sign of an inspection sticker in the windshield and what appeared to be an expired July 2007 registration sticker.
Jammed on the dashboard was a sign that read “Congress.”
A Weiner spokesman said the car is properly registered but the updated sticker was not displayed because the vehicle is not kept in New York.
A state Department of Motor Vehicles spokeswoman said registration, insurance and inspection data are not public records.
In March, the Roll Call, a Capitol Hill newspaper, reported Weiner owed more than $2,000 in parking tickets for violations around the Capitol and near Reagan National Airport. The fines, racked up between March 2006 and March 2010, were immediately paid.
Weiner had been snagged March 3, 2010, for blocking rush-hour traffic and for failing to display current license plates when he parked several blocks from the Capitol.
So what have we learned from the above text from The New York Daily News?, we have learned that his stickers were expired in 2010, he has 2000 dollars in outstanding tickets in Washington DC and that he didn’t feel the need to update his registration when he was ticketed in 2010. Anthony Weiner like a majority of those elected officials in DC, somehow get in their minds that the laws of any State don’t apply to them. When they are kept to the same standards as we their employer’s are then perhaps we will start to have the Congress We The People deserve.
