Seriously, there’s still hope for some of our nation’s universities…

…if more exist like these students…

Honestly, lately I’ve had no hope that there was anything good to be said about universities in the United States anymore, until now;

A student’s plans to burn an American flag on the LSU campus were cut short when thousands of combative counter demonstrators arrived on scene, prompting police to escort the student to safety.
Crowds wearing red, white and blue and chanting “U-S-A” threw water balloons and ice at Benjamin Haas, a communication studies graduate student, while he tried to read a prepared statement in front of an estimated crowd of 1,500 to 2,500 students and community members.
Haas publicized the event on Facebook and obtained a permit for peaceful protest from the university, according to LSU Media Relations Director Ernie Ballard. But when he found out he also needed a burn permit from the city to set fire to a flag, he decided to read a statement instead – but the rival protesters still would not let up.
More-

Watch and see if the video below doesn’t give even the most “jaded” [heh] among you some hope;

More, including pictures of the leftist weasel at Gateway Pundit.

  1. Well I too at first thought this is good stuff and then I thought of the last 4 years of President Bush in office and all of those college students who wouldn’t show a shred of American patriotism and how now it is kewl to be patriotic because a damn Democrat is in office…….it burns me up!

  2. The college students part-time jobs were likely the first to fall by the wayside when the Dems policies started hitting home. It doesn’t always take a bone-crushing blow to wake people from their liberal stupor, just a well targeted one. The wallet always seems to be a good spot to aim a political blow! Ask the Democrats why they keep changing the name “Tax Increase”…
