Thoughts on Wisconsin

Well, as of Thursday, petitions have been filed for the recall of 5 Republicans and 8 democrats. We’ll see how the signatures hold up and keep you posted. (https://content.usatoday.com/communities/ondeadline/post/2011/04/wisconsin-facing-record-8-recalls-of-lawmakers-/1)
The internet was pretty active with coverage of the Tea Party rally in Madison so no need for more details. I do find it interesting how a group the demands free speech is so willing to do whatever they can to deny opposing views the same courtesy…
Protests in Madison are quieting down so there are some that are thinking the request for a recount in the State Supreme Court race is a way of dragging the issue out and keeping the dem base energized until the recall elections…(https://www.jsonline.com/blogs/news/120392009.html)
There are still reports of teacher’s union members threatening businesses in WI. When will they learn (I actually hope they don’t) that these tactics don’t work, actually help the business with increased sales and make the unions look like [insert slang term for sphincters here]. Like I said before, grab a Leinies and some string cheese – this is gonna be fun to watch!

  1. LOL, Wisco Dave, I think it is fun to watch as well. The Unions obviously are misjudging the current environment that they are facing.

Americans are getting sick and tired of the lies about how poor Union workers are victimized.

Let’s just hope that we’ll get so sick and tired of being sick and tired of all this nonsense that it will break some old habits and get people more involved.
