OFA sleeps with the fishes
On January 17, 2009 three days before Obama was inaugurated he announced his campaign called “Obama for America” would be renamed “Organizing for America.” OFA.
And at the bottom of the page it said “a project of the DNC.”
For a little over two years the website has remained the same. Last week Obama announced his run for a second term. Surprise!
Imagine my surprise when I went to check on the website today to see what was cooking and it’s reverted back to “Obama for America” and the “a project of the DNC” is missing. Hmmm. What we do see it “paid for by Obama for America” and this swell new logo, bottom of the page:
You can even buy “gear.” Mugs, yard signs & buttons. T-shirts too, which I heard on the street are discounted for bulk buys. Who’s in?
Oh. And did I mentioned “Obama for America” ‘s new director is none other than Patrick Gaspard. Former adviser to Obama and mega-ACORNer. Pals with Bertha Lewis and all the crew.
Get ready to rumble.
