Think about it; When was the last time a federal budget was passed?

From RCP, Senator Mike Lee gives a possible (probable, I think) scenario;

“It was either irresponsible on one hand or deliberate and malicious on the other with intention to bring about a sequence of events that would culminate inevitably in a government shutdown,” Senator Mike Lee said on the Senate floor today.

ThisObama summoning people to the White House has been grating on me for quite some time. That’s just part of what grates on me, but it started when he ‘invited’ the Cambridge cop, who Obama had slimed, to the White House for the ‘beer summit’. So there’s the cop sitting there with Obama, and Obama’s Vp, and Obama’s good friend, Skippy Gates – three against one. You can’t be too cynical, EB. Sen Lee is right. I wrote a few days ago that the Dems, last fall didn’t present a budget in part, because they believed they could game the GOP into taking blame for a shutdown, or, in the alternate, giving them what they wanted in a budget deal. Intentional or just indifferent? I can’t say, but remember, all laid off Fed employees get paid anyway, sticking us with the bills. No skin off their chins. Vacation! Obama gets to pick and choose who gets hurt with the shut down in terms of lost services/checks/etc.… Read more »
