Thoughts on Wisconsin from Wisconsin

Greetings from the State of WI! As some of you are aware we had a very important election yesterday for our State Supreme Court that pitted a conservative vs a union supported liberal. Well, it appears that the liberal won by 204 votes. She has declared victory but the race has not been conceded and will be contested for recount. There have been several irregularities reported and word is they will be looked at this time. What I mean by that is that there have been several elections where questionable activities have taken place but no one pushed the issue.

This time we have missing ballot boxes, shredded ballots (cast and then not counted) and areas where there is a discrepancy of several thousand votes in the same district for different races (i.e. more votes for the court race than for mayor).

Even though on the surface this may be looked at as a defeat for Gov. Scott Walker (barring recount/court challenge) this is actually a victory. If you look at the state overall you see that outside of two very liberal areas (Dane County [Madison area] and Milwaukee), the conservative candidate won 53-47! This does not bode well for any recall efforts against Republicans, barring one, and may even allow the Republicans to gain the clear majority in the State Senate!

All this after massive union backed efforts. All of the businesses that were directly threatened by boycott are having record sales!

There is some concern over law enforcement in some areas (DA and patrol levels) where the action, or lack thereof, was based on a political preference.

Will try to keep posting on this as I learn more and get better at this type of thing.

Thanks!

  1. Thanks for joining in and piping up! Other than its cheese and the Packers most of us know little about Wisconsin. But I have recently learned about the “vouching” rule that progressive Wisconsinites use to cheat the vote, going from precinct to precinct each vouching for up to 15 of their friends at their home precinct, and no record being kept of any of it. This kind of mockery of true voting must drive normal Wisconsinites into a frenzy, and I would hope that the Governor and legislature hop to passing every anti-vote fraud statute they have before the volume of vote fraud gets even higher next year. The Democrats’ vote fraud must stop, and it must stop now, not only in Wisconsin or in big cities but everywhere.

  2. Wisco Dave, Thanks for this “on the ground” report from WI. I’ve gotten really interested in what is going on there. Hey, I live in a RTW state. We don’t have Unions. Not sure we want them either.

There so much going on in that situation. I’ve been learning a lot about the separation of powers (or lack of in some cases) just by watching at a distance.

Keep us updated. And tell all the conservative Wisconsites you talk to that they have a fan in NC cheering for them!!!

  3. I hope they find such irregularities that it shames the unions, the Democrats, and the taxi company that gave free rides to voters in the liberal areas. If that is buying votes it may be something that could hurt the Democrats and unions for decades to come. Praying for justice on this.
