I Am An Un-Hyphenated American

That makes me a minority. You see, it is the separation of races, classes and ideologies that makes this Country more divided then it has been since the Civil War. There are those that believe the 60s and the Civil Rights Movement divided the Country, but more people stood on the side of morality and for Black civil rights, then the number of Democrats who did not. The problems inherent in dividing us, is that one group learns to despise another group, usually for political purposes involving Democrats.  You won’t see Republicans focus on separating racial groups, and they don’t play the class warfare card, as they believe everyone wants to succeed and be rich one day.  Republicans do waffle on ideologies, with some being as socially liberal as the Democrats, (we intend to excise them from the Republican Party). The worst part about hyphenating identification for people is that one group will inevitably be placed above another because of the numbers in their ranks. Today, the new “minority” group for politicians is Hispanics, though Hispanics are NOT one race – they are lumped together as such, but they are not. There are Mexicans, Cubans, South Americans, etc. and they are the “new” minority, even though they are the majority in many regions of the Country.  Politicians make them promises in exchange for their votes, with class warfare being the most frequently played card.  Illegal Hispanics shouldn’t be here in the first place, and the fact that they can get government goodies at the expense of American taxpayers, is appalling.  Importing Poverty

Fifty-seven percent of households headed by an immigrant (legal and illegal) with children (under 18) used at least one welfare program, compared to 39 percent for native households with children (which is alarmingly high in itself). The highest rates are for families headed by an immigrant from the Dominican Republic (82 percent using welfare) and Mexico and Guatemala (75 percent). The states with the highest rates are Arizona, Texas, California, and New York (61–62 percent) — which, unfortunately, are also the top states of immigrant settlement. For immigrant households with four or more children, 81 percent are using welfare, as are 80 percent of households with children that are headed by an immigrant without a high school degree.

The problem with separating out Americans for the express purpose of dividing up the government pie, is that it encourages laziness and illegality.  If you succeeded in entering the Country illegally, why would you ever respect the rest of America’s laws?  You wouldn’t.  If you are given everything free, there is nothing to prompt you to get out of bed in the morning to go to work.   Enter the next problem:  with a new “minority” the Democrats are going to pander to that minority at the expense of other Americans.  Helping One Group Get Jobs Over Another, Not Very American.

Compared with Anglos and African-Americans, Hispanics have a higher-than-average unemployment rate, less education and higher rate of on-the-job fatalities, according to the report titled “The Hispanic Labor Force in the Recovery.”

“We know more needs to be done to get Hispanics back to work,” Secretary of Labor Hilda Solis said during a conference call with reporters Thursday. She said the report was a fitting tribute to the late farm worker and civil rights activist Cesar Chavez, whose 84th birthday would have been Thursday.

Solis also announced that Immigration and Customs Enforcement has agreed to suspend worksite immigration investigations for sites where the Labor Department is investigating labor disputes such as a wage and hour, family and medical leave, discrimination or health and safety issues. The agreement was part of a memorandum of understanding between the Labor Department and the Department of Homeland Security.

The agreement will protect workers during wage theft and other investigations, Solis said.

There is so much wrong in those paragraphs, but let me just address Solis not protecting the Country by not investigating workplace illegality. When an illegal works for wages under that set by the US government, their competitor, who pays that legal wage has less money available to hire additional workers.  It is most certainly an unfair labor practice, but for the US Government to actively support such illegal activity against other Americans, is criminal and traitorous.

2012 cannot come quickly enough for me, but any Republican candidate who panders to another group to the exclusion of others – will NOT be receiving my support because they would be no better then the Democrat, PERIOD!

  1. So let’s get all this straight, Jaded. Solis has ordered DHS not to enforce the law while she is pandering to unions and illegals, Border Patrol is telling us the Janet is also ordering them to reduce enforcement of the border, Holder is suing Arizona for passing a law restating the concept of law and order, plus suing Sheriff Joe for enforcing Arizona Law and………Herman Cain and Allen West are making inroads into Obama’s stranglehold on the Black Vote and …….Obama just opened up his ’12 campaign and unleashed the organizing thugs. Hmmm. Wonder if any illegal acts will be committed in the next, oh, 12-18 months?

    • Past is prologue to the future, Bob. If we are looking for this regime to ever do the right thing, we are bound to be disappointed, without fail. The One (termer) makes Clinton look like a choir boy

    • Well Bob, I expect the last months leading up to the election to be the most violent this Country has seen since the 60s and 70s because WE are going to fight back. I expect the unions and Obamaites to be extremely violent as they lose more and more power as Americans get angrier and angrier at their gas prices, food prices etc. I just came back from the grocery store, what used to cost me $170+ now costs me $204+….I am pissed!
