Well, well, another year another bunch of bonuses to the government owned Fannie Mae & Freddie Mac and the Democrats sitting on the board of AGAIN a government owned entity. I don’t know what they will get in 2011 but the combined 17M in the past two years is a whole lot of mine and yours tax dollars, for an organization that just about destroyed our Country. Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac should have seen a whole lot of former and current board members going to jail, not being rewarded. This President didn’t make anyone pay for the damage done to America in 2008. This Administration couldn’t even man up the way the Bush Administration did under the collapse of the dot.com explosion and Enron and frog march the heads of the companies to jail Memorable For All The Wrong Reasons. I will guess that falls under the hope and change part, ie: the criminals hoped that Obama would change the meme and Americans would forget they are criminals. I cannot imagine that there is anyone who wouldn’t love that government job and I cannot imagine that there are not a plurality of Americans who see this as theft Whoo, Hooo Baby, It’s Party time.
The network morning shows on Friday ignored a front page report in the New York times that government regulators have casually approved very generous compensation packages for executives at the troubled Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac.
Times reporter Gretchen Morgenson explained, “The companies, whose fates are to be decided by Congress this year, paid a combined $17 million to their chief executives in 2009 and 2010, the two full years when Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac were wards of the state…â€
After noting that a report by the Federal Housing Finance Agency found little scrutiny went into the packages, she pointed out, “With hundreds of billions in government support necessary to keep the companies running, questions are arising about the nature of the pay packages and how performance goals are determined.†[Emphasis added.] These questions, however, were not raised on ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS’s Early Show or NBC’s Today, despite the fact that many television journalists go to the Times for story ideas.
Ahh, the infamous ignoring it makes it not so journolisting of the news. It is amazing that the 4th Estate is so corrupt, so bought and owned by the Democrat Party, that a whole site is set up to monitor not what they say and how they say it, which is always with a liberal bent but what they are not reporting. The media wing of the Democrat Party has the power to ignore and it is that which they ignore that is usually the news that would anger a majority of Americans. If the 4th Estate just did its job with no ideology involved, Americans would never elect Democrats. They would see how evil they truly are and recognize that they do not represent their values.
