Who allows himself to be thrown into a closet for over an hour? It’s more than odd unless you are hiding from your lover’s husband. Orlando Sentinel reporter Scott Powers had no reason to hide. Yet he allowed Biden staffers to install him in a closet while a fundraiser was in progress for Democrat Senator Bill Nelson of Florida.
All right Scott, you want this uproar to be over, but you in a closet isn’t the real story. This whole little dust-up is descriptive of the Lame Stream Media and it’s willingness to sweep under the rug virtually everything that might cast a bad light on the Obama administration. Your attitude is just further proof.
That’s a tough sounding twitter handle you got there: @ScottFist . Why not live up to it and see if you can find out what the deal is with the owner of the home where you were uh, um, closeted.
Yeah, I think there could be a story there with Mr Alan Ginsburg, BFF to Senator Nelson and VP Biden. Old Alan has given over 100K to political candidates. He also gives away a lot of money to charity and golly gee he was on a sub-committee for the Fannie Mae Advisory Council. Fannie Mae is in the toilet these days, right?
Mr. Ginsburg made his many millions by constructing low income housing with government subsidies. Not that there’s anything wrong with that. It’s all the rage these days. . . making money with private sector/government partnerships. Just ask the boys over at GE. Nah, that won’t be happening, will it Mr Scott? That will be left to the blogosphere, which you obviously hold in low regard.
You should change your handle to @ScottRollOver, but maybe that’s not fair. I bet you would have been all over a story like this, had an aide for Dick Cheney kept a reporter in a closet.
