I was reading Newsbusters when an article on Charles Krauthammer debating National Panhandlers Radio’s Nina Totenberg on Obamacare Hush Now Baby, Don’t Say A Word and the “goodies” in it struck me as funny and brought to mind this nursery rhyme and how today momma and daddy are having baby to pay for momma and daddies “goodies” because someone is going to pay for those “goodies” and well momma and daddy will be dead when those charges come due.
Hush, little baby, don’t say a word,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a mockingbird.
If that mockingbird don’t sing,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a diamond ring.
If that diamond ring turns to brass,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a looking glass.
If that looking glass gets broke,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a billy-goat.
If that billy-goat won’t pull,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a cart and bull.
If that cart and bull turns over,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a dog named Rover.
If that dog named Rover won’t bark,
Mama’s gonna buy herself a horse and cart.
If that horse and cart falls down,
Mama will still have the sweetest little GOODIES in town.
Its and cruel and twisted fate for our children and their children to have to spend the whole of their adult lives paying back in taxes for the adults of the past 50 years “goodies” but it shall be so.
