Being of a curious nature where knowledge is concerned, an observer of things I should and maybe shouldn’t at times, I regarded the pen and ink for our Editor and Chief. His surroundings are plain. A simple sturdy table, a chair in which he can lean back in to solidify a thought, a candle with a properly trimmed wick casting clean light, his clay pipe for unraveling problems, a mug of good ale and a half-eaten sandwich. The tools of his trade are in use. The name drew me in wondering about Amos. I know this name. Which sent me on a quest.
Amos- to lift a burden, to carry. A man that was a shepherd, a herdsman and a cultivator of trees. A man who traveled in order to do his work. A man of strong moral makeup for the dark days in his country. So if I translated the pen and ink correctly, Perry has accepted a burden to shepherd people of like mind in bringing the original intent of the Constitution back to the American people. A herdsmen in unfettering some who have been trapped awaiting slaughter. A cultivator of people who will be able to search out true Constitutional Conservatives, get them on the ballot and have honorable elected people represent us.
We’d become complacent in governing ourselves, abdicated our duties as citizens, and others of dubious moral character have unduly profited and subverted our rights in our indolence.
So like practical men and women of past generations, and not the professional prophets of old, there are new legions of Amos to get out the word.
