It is stunning the well of ignorance that Al Sharpton and Jesse Jackson have led in the Black Community over the decades. What they have perpetuated is the type of thinking that if you grow up in a two parent household and do well in school that somehow you are not Black enough, even worse would be that you are an Uncle Tom. I would have thought that at least that ignorance would have fallen away over the years with so many Black educated college students out there, but alas that is not the case. Hard Work Is Not A White Trait, It Is A Hard Work Trait
“I hated everything I felt Duke stood for,” Rose said in the documentary, describing his feelings as a 17-year-old high schooler. “Schools like Duke didn’t recruit players like me. I felt like they only recruited black players that were Uncle Toms.”
Hill responded that “Jalen seems to change the usual meaning of those very vitriolic words into his own meaning, i.e., blacks from two-parent, middle-class families. … To hint that those who grew up in a household with a mother and father are somehow less black than those who did not is beyond ridiculous.”
It is the whole class warfare that Democrats have engaged in for decades that brings about this ignorance. I find it sad, and I hope and pray that with the internet and more kids going to college that more will wake up to the fact that race hustlers have kept them down for decades. It is hardly “white” to have two parents who love each other and their children and want the best for them. It is hardly “white” to go to a college that has one of the best basketball programs in the Country, that is a gift for all who are accepted. It will truly take decades to undo what the Democrats have wrought in the Black Community, but it is doable. When Blacks stop seeing themselves as victims and accept that they are apart of the American experience, the only losers will be the Democrat Party!
