Dr. Doolittle Is In The House Of Representatives

It does damn well appear that the House of Representatives under the so called “leadership” of John Boehner brought to the House floor a bill to allow veterinarians to participate in Obamacare. That is correct, however, that is not the horror of it all, oh no, that would be the 95 Republicans who voted for this attachment to a law that is UN-CONSTITUTIONAL!!! The Progressives Are Thick, The Fight Will Be Bigger In 2012

The bill in question is Veterinary Public Health Amendments Act of 2011

H.R. 525 would amend the Public Health Service Act to include veterinary public health professions as eligible for certain public health workforce provisions, including public health workforce loan repayment programs and public health workforce grants. The bill would effectively expand the public health workforce loan repayment program in order to make veterinarians eligible for the program. Note: Such public health workforce loan repayment grants have also been made available under Obamacare; thus, this legislation would expand the eligibility of those programs to veterinarians as well. The bill would not increase funding for the loan repayment plans, but would expand eligibility.

The bill would define “veterinary public health” to include veterinarians engaged in one or more of the following areas (having an impact on human health): biodefense and emergency preparedness; emerging and reemerging infection diseases; environmental health; ecosystem health pre- and post-harvest food protection; regulatory medicine; diagnostic laboratory medicine; veterinary pathology; biomedical research; the practice of food animal medicine in rural areas; and government practice.

These Republicans are out of control, they have forgotten why they are in power. I intend to work with the TEA Party here in Northern Virgina to find a primary challenger to Cantor. These idiots who have been in Congress longer then 4 years must go. They tend to have drunk too much of the DC Kool-aid! Let us not kid ourselves that this long war was going to be over with one fight, we all knew it would take a few cycles and this group of Republicans shows us that is true. The bottom line is to get inside the Party, make the changes at the local level and take out the Congresspeople who disregard the Constitution. We can win but we must never let them break us down, we should keep our chins up and take them down first!

  1. “The bill would not increase funding…..but would expand eligibility…” ! Meaning that under O’care, which was supposed to make health care affordable for all AMERICANS (humans), the pool of money to be used by people who tend to HUMAN health would be diluted to include those who cater to ANIMAL health. Meaning that, when they said health care is a right, they meant it is a right not just for humans, but for animals. Now, was it mandated that animals buy health insurance? Was it mandated that animals with pre-existing conditions be covered?

  2. Scott Rigell (VA-2) and Morgan Griffith (VA-9) were among the 95 Rs voting yes. Wittman, Forbes, and Goodlatte also voted yes. Cantor, Hurt, and Wolf voted NO. I am not saying you should not try to get Cantor primaried, but he voted correctly on this bill.

    • He as the MAJORITY leader should have shut down this addition to Obamacare period! His little time as a majority leader has been no better then prior to November 2nd, his little vote on NPR as a stand a lone the other day as if we “little” people were to stupid to know that it would be VETOED instead of adding it to the upcoming demands on raising the debt ceiling….Eric Cantor, John Boehner have been as big a disappoint to me as the prior two years “leadership”.
