The Republican legislators in Wisconsin took more abuse in 5 weeks then any one group of people should ever have to take in a lifetime. Those men and women loved their State and their Country more then themselves. They were attacked and maligned and threatened with their very lives for the act of saving their children and their grandchildren from having to pay for the greediness of State employees of today, tomorrow. They fought with friends, family and still they stood strong. They made a promise to their constituents when they were running that they would cut spending and save the State. The vote they took will do just that. These Are the Legislators That Americans Beg For In Every Election

Knilans himself felt the intimidation. In his capitol office one day, he heard a group outside his door say, “We know where you live.” Picketers showed up at his house. He said he didn’t personally feel threatened, but he was anxious about the safety of his wife and two small children at home. One day, his five-year-old son asked him, “Do they hate you, Dad?”

Yet they stood together, endured the insults, and passed the bill on to Walker, who signed it the next day.

Voters always say they want politicians who vote without their reelection in mind; they favor elected officials whose conscience is their guide. Yet the GOP assembly freshman class of 2010 has been rewarded for the leadership with verbal abuse, death threats, demonstrations at their homes, and promises they will be yanked out of office via recall. Certainly, some of them know they will not keep their jobs in 2012 as a result of their vote last week.

This beautiful Country called America has been passed on to us by many hard working Patriots, many who have died for this wonderful thing called freedom. So many have labored to give We The People a Country that is envied around the world. The poor in this Country are obese while the poor around the world starve. The homeless in this Country have shelter if they choose it, while the homeless around the world live in the elements. The children of this Country are given a free education as a birthright, while children around the world cannot read. The stark differences that places America a galaxy apart from any other place in this world are immense and yet there are those who would decry this Country and these legislatures as “downright mean”.

It is shameful the way union employees have decided that more is the mantra they will live by because there is absolutely no more. There is nothing to be given anymore, the United States of America is broke, there are no if’s and’s or buts about it, we are broke. The entirety of our debt exceeds that which we as a nation make. You cannot continue to take what there is nothing of. The majority of Americans would never question being asked to give more and yet a small group of Americans lead by the greediest people I have ever been witness to under the auspices of unions do. They have shown a level of greed that disgusts me. They have shown a level of violence that angers me. They have shown that they are not willing to “suffer” one iota for this great Country or their States. They pretend to be Americans but are indeed just greedy, whiny, self-serving, mindless ruthless leftists that covet what you earn (spread the wealth). They are not fighting some faceless bureaucrat for more earnings, they are fighting We The People and I guarantee you that WE will win this battle.

I cannot begin to express how grateful I am and how proud I am of those Wisconsin legislators. They are the type of legislator that we Conservatives dream of having represent us in our own districts. I truly believe that in the end these hard working Patriots in the Wisconsin legislature will be rewarded, whether by being re-elected or by saving their State for their children and grandchildren, or both!

Excellent tribute to some very brave and principled people. Let’s hope it spreads across the country like wild fire. Gov. Walker, and the Republican Legislature in WI showed the way to bring it.

I hope that the people of Wisconsin who are NOT union can see the value in the legislators they have, I know my family does 🙂

When did honoring one’s oath become a crime in this country?

The union wanks must believe keeping your word a triviality.

What’s worse are the ones that swore to serve and protect try strong arm twisting tactics on persons and businesses via US Mail.
Does that rise to a terrorist threat or maybe the realm of R.I.C.O. ?

The actions of the police were dishonorable, reminded me of the 70s when quite a few States had police who were stealing, abusing Blacks and basically criminals and what you saw in Wisconsin was the same thing. Those cops felt no compunction to protect and serve ALL their citizens quite like they didn’t during the Civil Rights era….btw I am thinking about a writing a dispatch on that similarity.
