I’m going to break it down for you…It’s a crap-load of money. Enough money that you would think folks would notice any accounting error with that many zeros.
It’s enough to buy 12,500,000 Chevy Volts.
I could buy 50,251,256,281 Sham-wows and they would have to Double my order!
It’s enough to buy 76,923,076,923 slices of carrot cake from the Cheesecake Factory or 66,666,666,666 waffle breakfasts at Denny’s for $7.50 a pop.
Hell, if I had that much money I could give 750,000 contributions of $666,666 to Satan 2012 if I thought that he could beat Obama.
Thank God we won’t have to wait for people to notice because HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius officially spilled the beans this week and all but admitted that Democrats blatantly lied about double-counting half of a trillion dollars in spending in the Obamacare bill.
You won’t see this story on the front page of the New York Times. And this cat has been roaming outside the bag for some time. What is covered up by the mainstream media has been known to the Republicans and the Congressional Budget Office. Of course Democrats have been bobbing and weaving like a Muhammad Ali rope-a-dope, but the jig is up…
The Obama administration and HHS have been criticized previously for double-counting. In a report last summer, HHS claimed a provision in the health-care law would extend the Medicare trust fund by 12 years. The Congressional Budget Office released a memo that said HHS’s math was more than a little off.
“..They cannot be set aside to pay for future Medicare spending and, at the same time, pay for current spending on other parts of the legislation or on other programs … To describe the full amount of HI trust fund savings as both improving the government’s ability to pay future Medicare benefits and financing new spending outside of Medicare would essentially double-count a large share of those savings,” said the CBO memo.”
