How much is 500 billion dollars?

I’m going to break it down for you…It’s a crap-load of money. Enough money that you would think folks would notice any accounting error with that many zeros.

It’s enough to buy 12,500,000 Chevy Volts.

I could buy 50,251,256,281 Sham-wows and they would have to Double my order!

It’s enough to buy 76,923,076,923 slices of carrot cake from the Cheesecake Factory or 66,666,666,666 waffle breakfasts at Denny’s for $7.50 a pop.

Hell, if I had that much money I could give 750,000 contributions of $666,666 to Satan 2012 if I thought that he could beat Obama.

Thank God we won’t have to wait for people to notice because HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius officially spilled the beans this week and all but admitted that Democrats blatantly lied about double-counting half of a trillion dollars in spending in the Obamacare bill.

You won’t see this story on the front page of the New York Times. And this cat has been roaming outside the bag for some time. What is covered up by the mainstream media has been known to the Republicans and the Congressional Budget Office. Of course Democrats have been bobbing and weaving like a Muhammad Ali rope-a-dope, but the jig is up…

The Obama administration and HHS have been criticized previously for double-counting. In a report last summer, HHS claimed a provision in the health-care law would extend the Medicare trust fund by 12 years. The Congressional Budget Office released a memo that said HHS’s math was more than a little off.

“..They cannot be set aside to pay for future Medicare spending and, at the same time, pay for current spending on other parts of the legislation or on other programs … To describe the full amount of HI trust fund savings as both improving the government’s ability to pay future Medicare benefits and financing new spending outside of Medicare would essentially double-count a large share of those savings,” said the CBO memo.”

I absolutely love examples like this, speciallist. The numbers that we’re dealing with on a federal level are so mind-boggling that it’s impossible to get your arms around them.

Articles that break it down like you’ve just done help to educate people as to just how much money is being spent by our insatiable public servants.

After reading your piece, went to HHS website as a lark. On front page is an ad for the wonderful Early Retiree Reinsurance Program (EERP) which was part of Obamacare. $6billion was earmarked to help EARLY RETIREES (of employers and……unions) with their health insurance. Half a billion has already been paid out. You learn someting new everytime you go to a Gov.t website. When they got Bernie Maddoff, they tried to “clawback” as many billions as they could. Obamacare is unconstituional. Will there be a “clawback”?

It is also over $1,500 for every man, woman and child in America.

That’s right. In my little family, they just sucked up and lied about $6,000. Enough to pay our health insurance premiums for one year. And the same thing for every one in America.

That’s their health care plan, people. Flush enough money down the toilet that you could have paid for your health health care.
